• Location and regional settings — Set country, state, time zone, language, and currency accurately. These control how dates, times, and payments are displayed.
• Billing emails — Invoices will be sent to the billing email on file. Make sure it points to the person handling finances.
• Emergency contact — Decide whether members must provide an emergency contact in their profiles.

Decide whether your club accepts members and whether free memberships require approval. The platform defaults to using Duper rating as the primary rating system, but you can:

Club managers and roles

If others help run the club, add them as managers and assign the appropriate privileges. Click edit at any time to adjust permissions so each person only has access to the tools they need.

The following steps walk through connecting an already created minor account to a parent or guardian. The process begins while logged into the minor account and finishes in the parent account email.

1. Log in to the minor account and open profile

Sign in using the minor's current username and password. Click the minor's name in the upper right corner and go to My Profile. From there, select Edit Profile. You'll see a horizontal menu near the top of the profile page. Hold your finger over the menu and slide left to reach the end of the options where Accounts Managing Me appears.

2. Add the parent or guardian

At the top of the Accounts Managing Me screen, tap Add Parent. In the search field, enter the parent or guardian's first and last name and click Search. When you find the correct person, click Select. Confirm by clicking Yes, Send to trigger an email invitation to the parent or guardian.

3. Accept the request from the parent account

Sign out of the minor account and have the parent or guardian check their email. They will receive an invitation that a minor has requested them to be a manager. Important: ensure the parent is logged into their minerspickleball.com account before clicking the Review link in the email. If they are still signed into another account, the link may not work properly.

From the parent account, click Review. The parent will see the management invitation and must accept a few items to complete the connection. These include the media release and parental consent waiver. Read the terms, sign the parent or guardian last name at the bottom, check the confirmation boxes, and click Accept to finalize the management request. Click on the checkbox to accept the media release and parental consent waiver.

Managing connected minor accounts

Once accepted, the parent account displays a list of all minor accounts they manage. From this central dashboard you can:

• - Enable or disable notifications for each minor account.
• - Quickly view the minor's profile and account details.
• - Use the Impersonate feature to act as the minor when needed.

Impersonating a minor account

Impersonation allows the parent to perform actions as though they were signed in as the minor. How Team League Captains Can Set Lineups from Their Phone

Chapter 1 — Open Your Team League

From your account, open the main menu by tapping the P icon in the upper left. Choose Team Leagues or go to My Team Leagues under your name to jump straight to leagues you manage or play in. Active leagues appear in the list; tap the heart to mark a league as a favorite for faster access.

Chapter 2 — Enter the Team Dashboard and Select Division

Inside the league, choose My Dashboard then select Team Dashboard to manage lineups, rosters, game days, and player communication. If you are eligible for multiple divisions, use the division drop-down at the top to select the correct division before proceeding. The schedule button becomes active once the correct division is selected.

Chapter 3 — Set Your Lineup for Game Day

Open Schedule and find the next active game day (active days appear in blue). Tap the game day and choose Set Lineups. Use the available drop-down menus to assign players to each matchup. Remember to click Save Lineup on each card as you work. Opponent lineups may be grayed out depending on how the league is configured by your League Commissioner.

If you’ve spent any time around the pickleball world, you might know the name Chong “CK” Kim. You might know him for his kindness, for his hustle, for his signature smile, or for his absolute inability to sit still.

But long before “Pickle Breakers” existed, CK had an idea that nobody had tried before: Play pickleball in all 50 states… in 50 days.

With no institutional backing and no elaborate infrastructure, he traveled state to state with a simple goal—to connect with people through the sport. He met hundreds of players, slept in airports and cars, made lifelong friends, and created a network of people who believed in what he believed — that pickleball is community at its core. The experience expanded his love of the pickleball community and ultimately laid the foundation for what would become The Pickle Breakers.

The First World Record Attempt and a Successful Fundraiser

In April 2025, CK and a small team embarked on their first World Record attempt for the longest pickleball marathon. It was intense. It was emotional. It was…honestly, brutal. The entire 40-hour event (including a 5-minute “earned” break for every hour played) was livestreamed to YouTube. They counted every point, every game, and tapped paddles over 160 times. Around 9pm on Sunday night the confetti exploded onto the court and they had succeeded. Their official documentation had shown just over 36 hours of play. A new world record!

Beyond the physical and logistical demands of the challenge, the team aligned their efforts with a higher purpose: raising funds for Taylor’s Gift Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting organ donor families and advancing awareness about organ donation.

The attempt generated significant engagement and raised $25,000, directly benefiting the foundation and demonstrating the team’s belief that pickleball can be a platform for service. The fundraising success became a defining moment for The Pickle Breakers and reinforced their commitment to combining athletic achievement with philanthropy.

Ambassador Trip to China and an Unexpected Setback

Following the event, The Pickle Breakers were invited to China as goodwill ambassadors for pickleball’s rapidly expanding international presence. The team traveled across three major cities, participating in exhibitions, cultural exchanges, and collaborative play with the growing Chinese pickleball community. The experience not only strengthened international connections but also highlighted the sport’s global potential.

However, shortly after returning to the United States, the team received notice from Guinness World Records: the world record attempt had been denied! Technical rulings—such as counting paddle taps and court-side changes as disallowed breaks—nullified the submission. Despite meeting the required total hours of play, the attempt was deemed invalid. The decision was deeply disappointing for a team that had invested immense physical and emotional effort into the challenge.

A Renewed Commitment: Bigger, Better, and Purpose-Driven

Rather than allowing the setback to define the narrative, The Pickle Breakers used the moment as an opportunity for reflection. After considerable discussion and collective soul-searching, the team came to a unified conclusion: the mission was not over.

You just wrapped up a competitive pickleball match. Your heart’s still pounding, sweat is dripping, and your legs are buzzing from all the quick stops, lunges, and pivots. What happens next can determine whether you wake up tomorrow feeling loose and ready to play again or stiff, sore, and nursing tight muscles.

A proper cooldown is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to recover from play. It helps your body transition from high exertion back to equilibrium, reducing soreness, maintaining flexibility, and priming your muscles and joints for your next game. Here’s what the science says about the best post-pickleball recovery strategies and how to put them into practice.

Why Cooling Down Matters for Pickleball Players

Pickleball is deceptively demanding. Between the quick directional changes, the bursts of acceleration, and the repetitive upper-body motions, your cardiovascular, muscular, and nervous systems all take a hit. When play ends, the body needs help returning to homeostasis. A structured cooldown accelerates this process by gradually lowering heart rate and blood pressure, improving circulation, and enhancing nutrient delivery to tired muscles.

Studies have shown that cooling down after intense activity can facilitate cardiovascular recovery, reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS), and preserve flexibility. It can also help control post-exercise inflammation and support the psychological transition from high competition to rest (1–4). In other words, skipping your cooldown doesn’t just make you feel worse; it can slow your overall adaptation and limit your performance gains over time.

Step 1: Active Recovery—Slow Down Gradually

Once your match ends, resist the urge to sit down or start scrolling immediately. The first few minutes after a session are prime time for active recovery. Moving gently helps keep blood flowing to the muscles, whether that’s walking slowly around the court, performing a few easy dink drills, or pedaling lightly on a stationary bike.

This circulation delivers oxygen and nutrients that help clear metabolic waste while preventing venous pooling, which can lead to dizziness or lightheadedness. Five to ten minutes of low-intensity movement allows your cardiovascular system to downshift smoothly and prepares your body for deeper recovery work (5).

Step 2: Foam Rolling to Reduce Soreness and Tightness

Foam rolling has become a staple in the athletic world for good reason. It’s a self-myofascial release technique that targets tight or overused muscles, helping to relieve tension and improve overall mobility. For pickleball players, the main areas to address include the calves, quads, glutes, and upper back—regions that take the brunt of repeated movement patterns.

When done correctly, foam rolling can significantly reduce the intensity of muscle soreness in the 24–48 hours following play (10). It also improves flexibility and joint range of motion without compromising strength (11). To get the most out of foam rolling, move slowly and apply moderate pressure, enough to feel the muscle releasing, but not to the point of pain. Roll each targeted area for 30–60 seconds, and spend five to ten minutes in total addressing the major muscle groups. This simple addition to your post-match routine can make a noticeable difference in how you feel and move the next day.

While foam rolling works on the muscle fascia, stretching focuses on restoring muscle length and flexibility. Both static and dynamic stretching play a role in the cooldown process.

Static stretching involves holding a muscle at its end range for 30–60 seconds, allowing the fibers to elongate and relax. For pickleball players, this should include areas prone to tightness from repeated acceleration, reaching, and rotation, such as the hamstrings, quadriceps, hip flexors, shoulders, and chest. Though static stretching doesn’t eliminate soreness, it can meaningfully improve flexibility and muscle relaxation (7, 8).

Dynamic stretching, on the other hand, involves controlled movement through a range of motion. Gentle arm circles, torso twists, or walking lunges are ideal after play because they keep the muscles warm while gradually reducing heart rate. Dynamic movements also promote continued blood flow, supporting recovery and maintaining joint mobility. Combining both forms of stretching in your cooldown can help keep your body balanced and resilient, especially if you play multiple times per week.

Step 4: Advanced Recovery Tools

If you’re playing frequently or at a competitive level, you may benefit from incorporating modern recovery tools. Cold therapy, such as cold plunges or cryotherapy, can reduce inflammation and muscle soreness, though it’s best used sparingly immediately after resistance training because it can temporarily blunt muscle-building processes (13).
