The Michigan Junior Open is a junior pickleball tournament designed for players ages 12U through 18U. Juniors have the opportunity to compete in a supportive environment with other players at their age/level. Sign up today and be a part of the future of pickleball.
Event Format & Schedule:
Friday: Doubles
12U, 14U, 16U, 18U: Gendered & Mixed Divisions
Saturday Morning: Singles Divisions (all gendered)
12U, 14U, 16U, 18U
Saturday afternoon: Team Event (3 players per team - see format below)
Novice
Intermediate
Open (Advanced)
All divisions will be round robin.
Team Event Format:
Teams of 3 (co-ed) will compete in 3 doubles games (play to 11, win by 2) per team matchup. Partners must rotate each game and the same partners cannot pair up more than once per match. Total number of matches determined by registrations. 3 matches guaranteed. Divisions may be combined. Team energy encouraged (matching uniforms, team names, etc )
This tournament follows standard junior pickleball structures, with results reported to DUPR for accurate player ratings and development tracking. Divisions are based on age groups and gender where specified, providing fair and exciting match play for all skill levels. All players may play in a higher division than their specified age but not below.
