Registration Fees:
Early Bird Registration (Closes 11:59pm 21st December 2024) - $70 entry fee [includes first event], then $20 per additional event.
General Registration (Closes 11:59pm 14th February 2025) - $85 entry fee [includes first event], then $20 per additional event.
Late Registration (Closes 11:59pm 24th February 2025) - $100 entry fee [includes first event], then $20 per additional event.
Events:
Singles, Skinny Singles, Gender Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Split Age Gender Doubles, Hybrid CoEd Doubles and Para CoEd Doubles.
Events with less than 4 players/teams may be merged with other events at the discretion of the Vic Open Committee.
How many events can I play?
Players can enter a maximum of 5 events, but this cannot comprise of more than the following:
1 x Singles or Skinny Singles
1 x Gender Doubles
1 x Mixed Doubles
1 x Split Age Gender Doubles
1 x Hybrid CoEd Doubles
Format:
Opens - Double elimination draw with main draw matches played best of 3 games, first to 11, win by 2. Back draw matches will be played first to 15, win by 2.
All other events - Round Robin leading into single elimination main draw. Round Robin pools with 5 or less players/teams matches will be played first to 15 win by 2. Round Robin pools which have 6 or more teams, matches will be played first to 11, win by 2. Single elimination draws will be at the discretion of the tournament director.
All medal matches will be best of 3 games, first to 11, win by 2.
What is AR?
Australian Ranking (AR) points are available for players who enter into these events. For more information about AR points please go to www.pickleballaus.org/rankings
Fair Play Guidelines:

BROADCASTING:
The Victoria Open Championships will be a broadcasted event.
Matches on the show court will be broadcast with commentary on YouTube.
Background noises will be picked up on the broadcast.
Please be respectful with your comments when watching matches on the show court.
If you do not wish to play in a game that will be broadcast, please send an email opting out to events@pickleballvictoria.org, or inform the volunteers at registration on the day.
Refund Policy
Early withdrawal up to the close of registration (11:59pm 24th February 2025) will result in a full refund (minus Stripe Fees/Brackets Service Fees).
General withdrawal after the close of registration (11:59pm 24th February 2025) and before the publishing of the draws (3 days prior to the event) will result in a $30 administration fee being retained by the tournament. If a medical certificate can be presented or at the discretion of the tournament director, a full refund minus Stripe Fees/Brackets fees will be issued.
Once draws and times are published (3 days prior to tournament commencing), NO refund will be given, except when a medical certificate can be provided.

Weather
The Victorian Open Championships will be held at two venues; Frankston Centenary Tennis Club & Somerville Recreation Centre.
Frankston Centenary Tennis Club is an outdoor venue with NO indoor venue available in the event of inclement weather.
In the event of extreme weather our tournament directors will follow the directions of the PAA Extreme Weather Policy. This may result in events being postponed to a different time or day (between the 7th and 9th of March) or in extreme cases, abandoned.
In the instance the tournament or particular events are abandoned, a full refund (minus administration fees) will be issued for the tournament/particular events which have not commenced. If matches in a particular event commence and then are abandoned due to extreme weather, no refund will be issued for that particular event.
