Welcome to the Western Australian State Championships Tournament scheduled for the 31st Jan & 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Feb 2025.
Friday, 31st Jan – Junior Events (Singles, Doubles & Coed Doubles) @ Ocean Ridge TC.
Saturday, 1st Feb – Adult Events (Gender Doubles) @ Gold Netball Centre.
Sunday, 2nd Feb – Adult Events (Mixed Doubles) @ Gold Netball Centre.
Monday, 3rd Feb – Adult Events (Singles) @ Gold Netball Centre.
Tuesday, 4th Feb – Adult Events (Skinny Singles) @ Gold Netball Centre.
NOTE: Dependent on player entrants we may be able to avoid playing on the 4th Feb and condense the Skinny Singles into the other days.
Ocean Ridge Tennis Club is an outdoor venue with a minimum of 12 courts available. It has a cafeteria, so food and drinks are available for sale throughout the day with ample grass area to set up portable gazebo’s for spectators and ample parking.
The Gold Netball Centre is an indoor centre with access to 16 courts. It has a cafeteria, so food and drinks are for available for sale throughout the tournament and plenty of spectator seating and ample free parking.
This is a Pickleball Association of Australia (PAA) SANCTIONED tournament.
This tournament will use the current Global Pickleball Federation Rulebook rules.

REGISTRATION
Registration Opens: 11th December, 2024 @ 8am
Registration Closes: 19th January, 2025 @ 8pm
- To register you will need the following;
• Be a PAWA member if a resident of WA; or
• Be a PAA member if an Interstate or International player
• Have a PickleballBrackets.com login and profile. If you do not have one then go to PickleballBrackets.com and create one ensuring it contains your contact number, email & PAA ID number.
- You may enter in more than one event during the tournament, but all events need to be in a different categories ie 1 x Mixed Doubles, 1 x Doubles, 1 x Singles and 1 x Skinny Singles.
NOTE: There may be an opportunity towards the end of the registration period dependant on numbers and event clashes to open this to 2 events in a category ie Doubles >3.5 & Doubles Open.
ENTRY FEES
- Western Australian residents registering must be a PAWA Ordinary member, or PAWA Junior member including PAA membership.
- Registrants from other Australian states, or international must hold current PAA membership.
EARLY BIRD closes 11:59pm 11th Jan 2025
- Juniors - $20.00/player includes the 1st event and $10 per event thereafter.
- Adults - $35.00/player includes the 1st event $15 per event thereafter.
Standard Registration after 11:59pm 11th Jan 2025
- Juniors - $25.00/player includes the 1st event and $10 per event thereafter.
- Adults - $45.00/player includes the 1st event $15 per event thereafter.
EVENTS
- Friday – Singles, Doubles & Coed Doubles (Juniors 18 & Under)
- Saturday – Doubles (Adults – Juniors are able to enter 19+ & Open events)
- Sunday - Mixed Doubles (Adults – Juniors are able to enter 19+ & Open events)
- Monday – Singles (Adults – Juniors are able to enter 19+ & Open events)
- Tuesday – Skinny Singles (50+ Only) (depending on registrations we will try and squeeze this into Sat, Sun & Mon)
- Qualifying games will be a round robin format and finals will be elimination
- You can play in more than one event during the tournament but a max of 1 events per event category.
- Qualifying & Semi Final matches will be 1 game to 15, win by 2.
- Medal finals matches will be best out of three games to 11, win by 2
- Players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event.
- Medals will be awarded to Gold, Silver and Bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
DELAYS
If you are unavoidably detained and it appears that you will not arrive in time for your game/match, please contact the Tournament Director. We may be able to adjust the schedule and consider options but your game may result in a forfeit.
If you are more than 10 minutes late for your game your result may be a forfeit!
