Welcome to the 2nd Annual Golden Ring National Championship, an indoor Peak Pickleball event! This event uses a structured championship format designed to promote competitive growth, sportsmanship, and progression, particularly for players developing their tournament experience.
All matches are played indoors in a climate-controlled environment, ensuring consistent playing conditions throughout the championship.
February 6-8, 2026 | Peak Pickleball - Colorado Springs
Events offered: Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles
Format: Round Robin into a Medal Bracket; all games will be entered into DUPR.
Divisions capped at 12 team entries
Fees: $50 registration + $15 per event; January 21 refund cutoff
REGISTRATION:
All signup pricing is PER PERSON and includes registration fee and event fee.
All registrations are on a per player basis: each player must have a DUPR account, register, and pay separately from their teammate (you cannot sign up for your team). If your teammate has not registered yet, mark yourself as "need teammate" in your registration so they can choose you when they complete their registration.

DUPR 3.0 to 3.49 – Any age
DUPR 3.5 to 3.99 – Any age
DUPR 4.0 to 4.49 – Any age
DUPR 4.5+ - Any age
Singles Events:
- All players must have a DUPR account to register.
- All division titles denote the DUPR required to play in the division. Ex) the 3.5-4.0 division means your DUPR should be in this range. Your rating will be evaluated the week before the tournament to determine eligibility (regardless of DUPR at time of signup).
- Playing Down (sandbagging): No player will be permitted to play in a division below their current DUPR rating.
- Playing Up: You can play one division higher than your DUPR, if your DUPR is within .500 points of the lower threshold for the division. If you are UNRATED, you must play in the 3.5-4.0 Division.
*Subject to change depending on the number of players who sign up. Smaller divisions may be combined. Larger divisions may be split. Tournament Director reserves the right to move players into the appropriate skill bracket based on their DUPR rating at the time of the tournament.

- Qualification to play in the 50+ division, both players must turn 50 during or before calendar year 2026. 50+ teams and players may play in the "any age" divisions if preferred.
- All players must have a DUPR account to register.
- If you are UNRATED, create a DUPR account and you will be allowed to play as high as the 3.5-3.99 division, which will be chosen based on the division that corresponds to your partner's rating. If both players on a team are unrated, you may play up to the 3.0-3.49 division.
- Each DOUBLES event will be based on AVERAGE TEAM DUPR
- Teams where a partner is rated 0.750 DUPR points higher than their partner will not be allowed to play together in any division.
- All division titles denote the Average Team DUPR required to play in the division. Ex) the 3.5-3.99 division means the average of you and your partner's DUPR rating must be between 3.50 and 3.99. Your rating will be evaluated the week before the tournament to determine eligibility (regardless of DUPR at time of signup).
- Playing Down (sandbagging): No team will be permitted to play in a division below their current AVERAGE TEAM DUPR rating. Tournament Director will move you up to the proper division as necessary.
- Playing Up: Your team can play one division higher than your average team DUPR if one of the following conditions are met:
1. The higher rated player on your team has a rating in the proper range of the division AND the lower rated player is WITHIN .500 DUPR rating of the lower-end DUPR threshold. For example: Player #1 is 4.1 and player #2 is 3.8, making their AVG TEAM DUPR = 3.95. This team can play up to 4.0-4.49 since player 1 is between 4.0 and 4.49 and player 2 is within .500 of 4.0.
2. If the team’s AVG TEAM DUPR is within 0.15 of the higher divisions low-end threshold. This is not automatic. Please sign-up in the lower division and then reach out to the Tournament Director to be moved manually. For example: Player #1 is 3.85 and player #2 is 3.95. AVG Team DUPR is 3.9. They will be allowed to play in the 4.0-4.49 since the avg is within .15 of 4.0, but they will need to contact the Tournament Director to be moved manually.

Competition Format
Round Robin Pool Play
The final format will not be determined until registration closes; all division sizes will start with round-robin pool play. This round will be 1 game to 11, win by 2. Top 4 teams advance.
Medal Bracket
Results from pool play will determine placement into Medal Matches. Gold Medal match is best 2 of 3 games to 11, win by 2. Bronze Medal match is 1 game to 15, win by 2 OR best 2 of 3 games to 11, win by 2 (if time permits).
Division Combining
• Divisions may be combined due to low entry counts
• Combined division match results are not submitted to DUPR
• Combined divisions retain their original medal and award structure
