SKILL LEVELS & DUPR
Players may play up into a higher skill division but may not play down into a division below their eligible rating. Ratings may be reviewed prior to the tournament, and Backhand Brew reserves the right to move a team to the appropriate division when necessary to maintain competitive integrity.
For doubles teams, division eligibility will be determined using 75% of the higher-rated player's DUPR + 25% of the lower-rated player's DUPR.
STANDARD DIVISION FORMAT
Standard skill divisions are limited to 8 teams.
Teams will play 4 seeding games against different opponents, followed by a double-elimination bracket. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 6 games.
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
MONEYBALL DIVISIONS
Men's Open and Mixed Open Moneyball divisions are open skill divisions and will not be submitted to DUPR.
Moneyball divisions require a minimum of 8 teams and may expand to a maximum of 12 teams.
Cash payouts are based on the final number of registered teams and will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
