Welcome to the 21st Annual Happy Trails 'Wild West' Pickleball Classic, a premier multi-day tournament hosted at Happy Trails RV Resort in Surprise, Arizona.
This exciting event will feature up to 400+ players and draw a lively audience of visiting spectators, residents, seasonal visitors, and members of the local community. As a boutique 50+ tournament, it attracts an engaged and active demographic.

Dates: Monday, January 11 thru Thursday, January 14, 2027.

Monday: Men's and Women's Doubles 3.0 and 3.5
Tuesday: Men's Doubles 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 and Women's Moneyball 50+ Open Double Elimination
Wednesday: Women's Doubles 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 and Men's Moneyball 50+ Open Double Elimination
Thursday: All Mixed Doubles, Mixed Doubles Moneyball 50+ Open Double Elimination
Moneyball Prizes: Gold $1000; Silver $500; Bonze $250....Total prize money per bracket $1750. Additional premier prizes for Gold medal winners in each Bracket. Events must have a minimum of 6 teams for full prize money to be paid out. Less than that will result in a lower percentage pay out.

Format: Round Robin Play, 2/3 Gold medal matches
Registration Starts: October 15, 2026 at 8am
Registration Ends: January 1,2027 at midnight
Costs: Registration Fee $80 Plus $5 nonrefundable service fee per event

Costs Moneyball: Registration Fee $150 Plus $5 nonrefundable service fee.
Tournament Ball used is Selkirk
This tournament Will Not be Sanctioned by USAP, which means a player is NOT required to
be a member of USAP.
However, the tournament Will be using all USAP Official Pickleball Rules and ALL COURTS WILL HAVE REFEREES.
Formats:
Round Robin Format for ALL skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 & 5.0
Double Elimination for Moneyball 50+ Open
Brackets/Pools seeded by DUPR

Brackets with 8 or more teams: Teams will be divided into pools and compete in a round-robin format against the other teams in that pool.
Brackets with less than 3 teams will be combined into another bracket/age.
The Gold medal match will play 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2
The Bronze medal match will play 1 game to 15, win by 2
Tie breaks will be determined using guidelines (see below).
First tie-breaker: head-head matches won
Second tie-breaker is the point differential of all games played.
Third tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential of all games played
Fourth tie-breaker: point differential against the next-highest team.
(e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)
