CTPA (Cranberry Township Pickleball Association) is pleased to offer our first regional one-day tournament for youth, teens, and college-age players, with the goal of helping develop young talent in the sport of pickleball.
This tournament will feature both doubles and singles events across a variety of age groups. Talented youth players may register in a higher age division if they are seeking more advanced competition.
Doubles events will include any combination of Male/Female (M/F), M/M, F/F competing in the same age bracket. Teams must compete in the age group of the oldest partner and may not play below that age division. (If one teammate is 13 and the other is 14, then this team must compete in the All-Skill Junior Doubles (15yr old Maximum). Singles events will be separated into male and female divisions; however, female players who wish to compete in the male division for stronger competition are welcome to do so.
The tournament format will be double elimination, allowing players additional matches and a more competitive experience within each division.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Adults registering a minor player must provide a valid cell phone number, as all tournament communications, including court assignments and match updates, will be sent via text message. Please register under the child’s name and age. Pickleball tournaments.com will consider your child a year based on the year born. (If a child was born Dec 1, 2012, then that child would be considered 14 years old, not 13) at tournament date)
All matches will be played at our courts in Graham Park, Cranberry Township. Our facility features cabled nets and fenced court dividers to minimize ball interference and improve the playing experience. Our facility is considered one of the best in the country for pickleball with the ability to expand to 30 courts. Our facility has free parking right next to our courts, along with excellent restrooms, water and bottle filling stations.
CTPA is one of the largest all-volunteer pickleball organizations in the country, with nearly 2,000 members and hundreds more on a waiting list to join. In addition to this tournament, CTPA offers a growing youth development program that includes Kids/Teen Camps and a Kids/Teen Ladder program.
We are very pleased to offer this tournament at reduced rates, starting as low as $30 for one event. Players who register by August 15 will receive a $5 early registration discount, and a second event may be added for only $5 more.
Please note there is an additional non-refundable processing fee charged by PickleballTournaments.com of $5 for one event or $10 for two events to cover registration and tournament software services.
This is an outdoor event, and weather conditions may delay, shorten, or cancel play. The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the tournament format if weather delays occur and may not be able to complete all scheduled events within the allotted time frame. No refunds will be issued for weather-related interruptions or cancellations unless weather insurance is purchased during registration.
