Stars & Stripes II Intro & Location

For the Stars & Stripes II | Team Pickleball Tournament, four players join together in an event where they face off in a double elimination bracket to win trophies and cash prizes.

This event will be held at the Picklr on May 17th, 2025, a new indoor venue in Aurora, CO.

Brackets

The Stars & Stripes II event will be a team tournament and consist of three brackets: Intermediate (Below 3.0-3.99, no gender restrictions), Women's Advanced (4.0-5.0+), and Men's Advanced (4.0-5.0+). Each bracket will be double elimination (subject to change depending on the final number of registrations in a given bracket) where each team will compete to win medals and cash prizes. See below for a breakdown of each bracket:

-Intermediate (3.0-3.99) - This is a bracket of up to 8 teams each consisting of 4 players with no gender restrictions between the 3.0-3.99 skill levels. Check in will begin at 7:00 am and matches will start at 8:00 am.

Each member of the winning team of this bracket will be awarded $75! Medals will be provided to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze finalists.

*Sandbagging is not allowed at our events. If there are complaints and your team is found through DUPR or by other means to be competing with players at an advanced 4.0+ skill level you will face disqualification with no refund!

-Women's Advanced (4.0-5.0+) - This is a bracket of up to 8 teams each consisting of 4 female players between the 4.0-5.0+ skill levels. Check in will begin at 7:00 am and matches will start at 8:00 am.

Each member of the winning team of this bracket will be awarded $125! Medals will be provided to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze finalists.

-Men's Advanced (4.0-5.0+) - This is a bracket of up to 16 teams each consisting of 4 male players between the 4.0-5.0+ skill levels. Check in will begin at 11:00 am and matches will start at 12:00 pm.

Each member of the winning team of this bracket will be awarded $200! Medals will be provided to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze finalists.

*Each bracket will take 4-5 hours to complete from the first round through the Gold Medal Match. Each team needs to be prepared for that timeline in the event they make it to the medal matches.

Tournament Outline

Matches during the bracket stage will be a best 3/5 games with rally scoring to 15, win by 2. Medal matches will switch to first to 21, win by 2.

Each team of four players has two groups: Group A and Group B. In Game 1, each team's Group A play each other. In Game 2, both team’s Group Bs play. In the 3rd and 4th games of the match, Group As play Group Bs. If both teams are tied 2-2 in games won by the end of Game 4, then a Singles Showdown will take place to determine the winning team who will move forward in the bracket.

Registration & Payment

The registration fee for each team member is $60, or $240 per team. You are allowed to pool your funds together and have one teammate submit it for the full team.

Along with gameplay, included in the registration fee is a Stars & Stripes II athletic t-shirt, a swag bag, and entry into the raffle which will have all sorts of giveaways hundreds of dollars in value!

*Your team's registration is not valid and will not hold your spot in the tournament until a full $300 is submitted.

Each team member needs to fill out their own registration form.

If your given bracket fills up, you will be put on a waitlist in the order at which your team's registration was received. Waitlist deposits are $60 and will be refunded in full if your team does not enter the tournament.

Refunds will be given in full if a player or team needs to withdraw on or before Monday, May 12th. After that, all registration fees become locked in.

Refunds will be given to players and teams on bracket waitlists that are not able to enter the tournament.

Men's Advanced Gold Medalists - $800 for the team, $200/player

Women's Advanced Gold Medalists - $500 for the team, $125/player

Intermediate Gold Medalists - $300 for the team, $75/player

This event will be hosted at the Picklr, a new indoor Pickleball facility in Aurora, CO. There will be no weather delays or cancelations.

All participants must 1) sign a liability waiver prior to playing and 2) provide emergency contact information.
