Health & Safety Policy – Pickleball Tournament
The safety and wellbeing of all players, officials, volunteers and spectators is a priority at this tournament.
General Safety
All participants play at their own risk.
Players must ensure they are medically fit and physically capable of participating.
Appropriate pickleball footwear and suitable playing attire must be worn at all times.
Unsafe behaviour, abuse, dangerous play or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
Warm Up & Hydration
Players are encouraged to warm up properly prior to matches.
Participants should remain hydrated throughout the tournament.
Players are encouraged to take reasonable breaks between matches where possible.
Court Safety
Courts must be kept clear of bags, bottles and personal belongings during play.
Wet or unsafe courts may be temporarily closed at the discretion of tournament officials.
Tournament organisers reserve the right to suspend or delay matches due to weather or unsafe playing conditions.
Injury & Medical
Any injury occurring during the tournament should be reported immediately to tournament staff.
In the event of a serious injury or medical emergency, tournament officials may stop play and seek medical assistance.
Participants are responsible for their own medical and ambulance insurance coverage.
Conduct & Behaviour
Respectful behaviour towards players, referees, volunteers and spectators is expected at all times.
Aggressive, abusive or inappropriate conduct may result in warnings, match forfeiture or removal from the tournament.
Venue & Equipment
Players are responsible for ensuring their paddles and equipment comply with tournament requirements.
Tournament organisers are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.
Photography & Media
By entering the tournament, participants consent to photography and video being used for promotional, marketing and media purposes.
Tournament Director Authority
The Tournament Director reserves the right to make decisions in the interest of player safety, fair play and tournament operations.
All decisions made by the Tournament Director are final.
