🔄 Pool Play
• All divisions will begin with round-robin pool play.
• Games to 11, win by 1.
➡️ Advancement
• Following pool play, teams will advance to bracket play based on their pool-play results.
• The number of teams advancing will vary by division based on the number of registered teams.
🏆 Bracket Play
• Games to 15, win by 2.
🥇🥈 Gold/Silver Match
• Best 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2.
🥉 Bronze Match
• One game to 15, win by 2.
📋 Tournament format and advancement details may be adjusted based on the final number of registered teams in each division.

• Divisions may begin as early as 8:00 AM each day.
• Players may compete in only one division per day.

• Exact division start times will not be determined until registration closes.
• Start times will be finalized after all registered teams have been reviewed and confirmed to be in the correct division based on DUPR eligibility.
⚠️ Please do not ask for your division start time before registration closes. Start times cannot be finalized until registration is complete and all teams have been verified.
📢 Final division start times will be communicated after registration closes. Please plan accordingly and keep the entire tournament day available until your division schedule is announced.

REGISTRATION & PRICING
Players register and pay individually. You cannot register or pay on behalf of your partner.
📝 Registration Process
• When registering, you can select your partner. Your partner will receive an email with instructions to complete their registration.
• Your team’s registration is not complete until BOTH players have completed their registration and payment.
• ⚠️ If only one player completes their registration, you may be moved to the waitlist to make room for fully registered teams.
• 🤝 Need a partner? Select “Need Teammate” when registering. Other players looking for a partner will have the option to contact you.
• 🔄 Found a partner after registering? You can edit your registration to add them up until the registration deadline.
💰 Registration Fee Breakdown
Your total registration cost includes:
• 💵 Registration Fee: The registration fee will increase approximately every two weeks leading up to the registration deadline. Sign up early to lock in the lowest price!
• 🏓 Event Fee: $40 per player
• 4.5+ Open/Cash Divisions: $70 per player, which includes $30 per player toward the cash prize pool.
• 💻 Platform Fee: $5 service fee charged by Pickleball.com.

📊 DUPR Requirements
• DUPR will be strictly enforced to keep divisions fair, competitive, and appropriately matched.
• 🚫 Players may not play down. You cannot register for a division lower than the current DUPR rating of either partner.
• ⬆️ Playing Up — Doubles: Playing up into a higher division is allowed if either of the following conditions is met:
A. The stronger player’s DUPR fits within the higher division, and the weaker player’s DUPR is within 0.25 of the higher division’s lower threshold.
OR
B. If both players are below the higher division’s lower threshold, the team’s average DUPR is within 0.10 of the higher division’s lower threshold at the time of registration.
• 📅 DUPR eligibility will be determined based on each player’s DUPR rating at the time registration closes. Any rating changes before the registration deadline may affect division eligibility.
• 3rd Shot Pickleball reserves the right to combine or split divisions based on the number of registered teams in each division.
• Tournament organizers reserve the right to verify DUPR ratings and adjust division placement if necessary to maintain fair and competitive play.
