Okanagan Vineyard Classic 2023

West Kelowna, nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, is a perfect location to take in what the region has to offer - wineries, sunshine, beaches, golf, lake activities... and pickleball!

This is a West Kelowna Club TIER 3 SANCTIONED Tournament, and your Canadian Tournament Pickleball Rating (CTPR) will be affected. This tournament is open to members and non-members.

The tournament is a double elimination format. The popular thing about a double elimination tournament is a team is not eliminated after a single loss. The team can go through a second chance round and even with a loss can work their way back for a chance at the gold medal. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

In this double elimination tournament, a team must lose twice before being eliminated from the tournament. For your initial match – and while still in the “winner’s bracket” – matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2.

Once a team loses for the first time, they are dropped into the "second chance" bracket where single games to 15, win by 2 are played. Players or teams are then eliminated from the tournament after a loss in this second chance bracket (their second loss of the tournament).

The winner of the "second chance" bracket will play the winner of the winner’s bracket for the championship Gold/Silver match. The loser of the "second chance" bracket takes Bronze.

If the winner of the "second chance" bracket defeats the undefeated winner of the winner’s bracket (in a 2 out of 3 games format), then a final tie-breaker match to 15 points is played to determine the gold and silver medals.

Refunds are subject to a $15 admin fee. No refunds after registration closes on July 24.
