The Kitchen is are proud to present THE KITCHEN OPEN KANSAS CITY, taking place at PickleCon!

THE KITCHEN OPEN is our largest series of amateur events each year. This amateur tournament will be held August 7th-10th, 2025 in Kansas City, MO at PickleCon. There will also be a Finals Party, where ONE TEAM WILL WIN $25,000, the LARGEST PRIZE IN AMATEUR PICKLEBALL HISTORY! 💥

There are divisions based on age (19+, 35+, 50+), skill level (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 and the money event is OPEN), as well as gender doubles and mixed. ALL TEAMS IN EACH DIVISION WILL PLAY 6 GAMES TO 15 MINIMUM!

All SKILL DIVISIONS will compete for Joola paddles, and gear as well as gift cards to www.TheKitchenPickle.com which will be awarded to all those who make the podium of their respective divisions.

THE OPEN DIVISION is open to amateur pickleball players, regardless of age or gender.

WHAT IS AN AMATEUR? Someone who, at the time of sign up, has won less than THREE APP or PPA main draw GENDER DOUBLES matches (back draw or consolation are ok) in the past YEAR AT THE TIME OF SIGN-UP nor has played in a Major League Pickleball match. Teams who won a main draw match due to withdrawal DOES NOT COUNT against eligibility. Senior Pro main draw wins also DO NOT COUNT against eligibility.

UPDATE: As PPA and MLP are signing players to professional contracts (many of which have never won PPA or APP gender doubles main draw matches), those players are still eligible. Being signed to MLP or PPA contract does not matter. However, if a player ends up on a Major League Pickleball roster before The Kitchen Open, that player would be ineligible.

The tournament will be played with the best pickleball ever made, the Onix Dura Fast 40!

This is going to be a party, so come prepared to play some pickleball and have a blast!

The Kitchen

Side-out scoring. 1st round is a round robin with 7 teams per pool. Each match is 1 game to 15, win by 1, with no third game tiebreaker. Each team is guaranteed 5 games to 15.

If teams are tied with wins, the tie-breaker rules are as follows:

- Head-to-head will be first tie-breaker

- Point differential will be second tie-breaker

- Tie-Breaker rules "reset" after each place is determined

In the 3 pool brackets we are taking top 4 so it will be winner of each pool and the #2 team with the most wins. If a tie there will go to point differential.

In the OPEN DIVISION, the tournament will be played to the quarterfinals on Saturday, and then the quarterfinals through finals will take place on Sunday!

The final day to receive a refund is July 7, 2025.

Please understand that there will be no refunds granted for any reason after the July deadline. This includes, but is not limited to inclement weather, etc. In case of inclement weather, the Tournament Director reserves the right to reduce the number of scheduled games and/or the time of games and/or postpone or delay game times and/or cancel the event. Every effort will be made to complete games and the tournament.

OPEN DIVISION, the prizes are winner-take-all for $25,000!!!!
