The Isle Area Pickleball Association welcomes you to our first tournament! We are very pleased you have chosen to join us.
For starters, please note that this is a non-sanctioned recreational tournament. Emphasis on friendly competition.
Rules
In Isle a tennis court is used to accommodate pickleball so multiple lines exist. Prior to play and during warm up, take the time to familiarize yourself with the lines.
1. No referees are provided so all calls are made by players. Your honesty is expected and appreciated!
2. In/out calls are made by the team on the side where the ball landed.
3. A wrist band is provided and is to be worn by your team’s first server throughout the tournament.
4. If a stray ball enters your court call “ball”. Play is to be immediately suspended and the point re-played. If you continue to play your ball (highly discouraged) the point stands.
5. The score must be announced clearly before each serve. (Not as you serve)
6. Disputes in calls or scores must be resolved prior to commencing play. (See disqualifying offenses below)
7. One – one minute time out is afforded each team per game. Injury time outs up to two minutes, but count as use of your only time out.
8. This is a double elimination tournament. Winners play 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2, Losers play 1 game to 15 win by 1, Bronze plays 1 game to 15 win by 2. Final match plays 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2, if losers win an extra game to 15 win by 2 will be played.
9. A signed waiver and full payment is required prior to your participation.
10. USA Pickleball rules for non-sanctioned play apply. “Let” serves are good serves when they land in the zone. As are one handed spin serves and drop serves.
Disqualifying Offenses-
NOTE – No refunds will be provided for disqualified players.
1. If disputes during play are not resolved prior to commencing play or are getting “ugly”, both teams involved will be disqualified.
2. We reserve the right to excuse players for unsportsmanlike conduct at our discretion.
3. Teams who are not present within 5 minutes of a designated start time are disqualified.
