9:00am - Mens Doubles Matches begin except Mens 3.5. Please arrive early to check in and warm up.
12:00pm - Ladies Doubles Matches begin. Please arrive early to check in and warm up.
12:30pm - Mens Doubles 3.5 Matches begin.
1. Games are back to back. If players wish to grab water, snacks, take washroom breaks, please do that between games then come right back to play the next game.
2. Players can flip a coin to determine who decides first serve. Coins are in basket provided.
3. All score sheets have been printed except play offs for top 4 teams (1st&2ndnd – play gold/silver, 3rdrd&4thh – play for bronze. *Ladies only 4th place win a door prize*
4. All games are to 15 win by 1 switch sides at 8.
5. Pod managers have access to new balls, pencils, coins and game sheets in basket. The winning team should circle their team names, write the score on the game sheet, have to other team initial and bring that sheet to the tournament desk. Leave clip boards with pod manager.
6. After the medal matches, there is a medal presentation and crowning for pictures.
7. Each team is allowed 1 one minute time out. Each team is allowed a 15 minute medical time out. If they are not able to continue play after a medical time out, a medical exemption will be entered and the score will not affect the outcome but the team with the medical issue will be out of the tournament. If a medical exemption occurs in a medal match, a loss will be assumed.
8. Call balls as best you can on your side. If one team member calls a ball out, that partner should override the call if the other team member saw the ball as in. Play fair and have fun! Remember that we are all so lucky to be chasing a plastic ball!
Welcome to Red Deer Members Only/Fun Kings Queens Tournament. This tournament is Non-Sanctioned and Result will NOT count towards your tournament or Pickleball Brackets Rating. Therefore, let's just have some FUN!!
*** Please Note - All members MUST enter the tournament at their current club rating. For example, If you play 3.5 at Club RR, you MUST play 3.5 in the tournament. If you are not rated put down the level you are playing at within the club. You should not play down in skill level from your club rating but are welcome to play up in skill (by .5) from your pickleball brackets rating. ***
This is an all ages tournament.
This tournament is one day only and events may be cancelled or rescheduled during the day due to weather. It is a ladies doubles and mens doubles tournament with a round robin format in 2 pools. The top 2 teams from each pool will play for Gold or Silver or Bronze. We will have medals presented after your bracket is complete. Gold Medal winners in each bracket will win a car! All games will be 15 win by 1.
A social event may be posted on the website and may have a sign up genius for dinner and drinks after the tournament.
You will need to create a pickleball brackets profile to sign up for this tournament. The games will be in pods and played until the bracket is complete with small breaks in between games for snacks. Feel welcome to bring snacks to share and drop off at the snack table.
Tournament Ball will be the outdoor yellow Franklin X-40.
