SKILL LEVELS
3.0 & Under, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
This is a Pickleball Canada-sanctioned tournament. Your Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) will be used to determine eligibility for events. During registration, you will see the brackets (events) for which you qualify based on your rating. Tournament results will be uploaded to DUPR in real-time. Players must link their DUPR profile to their Pickleballtournaments.com account to register. If you do not already have a DUPR profile, please create one at https://dashboard.dupr.com/signup

REGISTRATION
Early registration for Surrey Pickleball Club members opens Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
SPC Members receive a $10 registration discount. The $10 discount is valid between May 23, 9:00 a.m. to May 26, 11:59 p.m. SPC Members registering after May 26 will not qualify for the $10 discount. NO exceptions! Register early to take advantage of the member discount!
Registration for the General Public will open on Tuesday, May 27, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
Registration closes on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
An online Pickleball Canada waiver will be used for registration.
**International players must sign an International waiver at check-in.
Results from the Mid-Summer Slam will be uploaded to DUPR.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER AN EVENT
Age: Players may play DOWN in AGE, but may not play up. For example, a team has a 35-year-old player and a 62-year-old player; the team will need to enter the 12-49 Age Category versus the 50+ Age Category.
Brackets may be collapsed or merged, and age parameters may be modified, based on actual registrations.
Skill Level: Players may play UP in SKILL. Players may not play down a skill level. Players may play up to 1.0 full skill level into the 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 brackets. (ie 3.0's may register into 3.0, 3.5, or 4.0). Players may play up 0.5 level for 4.5 and Open brackets.
FORMAT
All games to 15, win by 2, no cap
Round Robin, 1 game to 15
Medal Round
- if one pool, the top 4 TEAMS advance to the medal round.
1 vs 2 for Gold/Silver, 1 game to 15, 3 vs 4 for Bronze, 1 game to 15
- if two pools, the top 2 TEAMS from each pool advance to the medal round.
Preliminary playoff: A2 vs B1, B2 vs A1, one game to 15
Winners of preliminary playoff play for Gold/Silver, 1 game to 15
Losers of preliminary playoff play for Bronze, 1 game to 15
The Tournament Director may modify the format depending on registration numbers.
REGISTERING FOR AN EVENT
This is a Pickleball Canada-sanctioned tournament. All registrants MUST have a valid Pickleball Canada membership to play in this tournament. NOTE: Please ensure your Pickleball Canada membership number and skill level are up to date in your Pickleball Tournaments profile before registering for this tournament. If you are not a Pickleball Canada member, you can become a member at https://pickleballcanada.org/
Players must also have a DUPR account to register for the tournament. The skill level of players is determined by the data in their DUPR profile; if that is lacking, their self-rating will be used.
Registration is online only at https://pickleballtournaments.com/. Online payment via Stripe. Stripe accepts credit card payments. When the maximum per event is reached based on fully registered/paid teams, others will be added to the waitlist.
Enter as a TEAM and make sure your partner registers and pays within 3 days of you registering. If a partner has not completed his/her registration within 3 days of the first partner registering, the team will be moved to the waitlist. When the identified partner registers and pays, the team will be moved from the waitlist back to the active list ONLY if a slot is available. Confirm with your partner BEFORE registration opens to avoid disappointment. If you do not have a partner, you can click on “Players Needing a Partner” to possibly find one. The tournament committee does not find partners for players.
All players must complete their registration by July 7, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., to remain on the Active List. COMPLETE means BOTH partners have agreed to the PCO waiver, and paid registration fees IN FULL.

- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to place players in the Skill Group based on their current DUPR skill rating at the time of registration.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make changes to the tournament. ie. Combine or change age categories; alter the format depending on the number of registrations received.
