Rocky Mountain Pickleball is thrilled to return to Steamboat Springs for the 2025 Mountain Town Classic. With its new twenty permanent courts, the Steamboat Springs Tennis and Pickleball Center will be our host venue, providing a magnificent setting in the iconic town of Steamboat Springs.

The Mountain Town Classic is an ideal destination tournament for all players. Nestled in the Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests and surrounded by the Flat Tops, Park and Gore Mountain ranges, Steamboat offers an array of summer activities. In addition to its considerable pickleball community, this Colorado mountain town is well-known for golf, mountain biking, rafting, and many other exciting activities.

Take advantage of one of 2025's best destination tournaments. Players in the Mountain Town Classic will experience a blend of Steamboat's rich Western heritage and its modern, contemporary ambiance. It will be a special tournament experience you don't want to miss!

Event bracket sizes will be limited, so mark your calendars, plan to participate in this special tournament, and register early.

We will be using only the Pickleball Brackets software for this event.

Players are expected to report to the player check-in tent prior to their event start time. Emails will be sent out with start times within the week before their registered event.

A court monitor, match starter, and or referee will be assigned to each pool for a brief pre-tournament orientation and to assist getting the matches underway. Any on-court disputes that cannot be solved by the players should be resolved by the assigned court monitor. Referees will be assigned to all medal matches as well as any other matches if available.

Event Format:

Every division will be played in two parts: Pool play, followed by a single elimination bracket. Every team will qualify for bracket play and be seeded according to pool play results.

Pool play results will be weighted as follows: game differential , point differential , coin toss.

Players will receive text updates for upcoming matches, but we recommend staying near your court pod for the duration of your bracket to avoid any unnecessary forfeitures.

Players will be given 10 minutes warm-up on their first assigned court for the day and five minutes warm-up for subsequent matches . Scores will be recorded by the court monitor after each game and submitted to the tournament desk. At this time, players will be given a short break while the remaining pools are completed, the scores are tallied, and the bracket is prepared. The results will be input by the tournament desk and shared online throughout the event. You will receive a text message notification when your bracket play has begun.

Scoring Format:

Pool play games will be played to 15 points win by one . Bracket play and Bronze will be one game to 15 win by two. Finals will be best two out of three games to 11 win by 2.

The MTC will be following USAP sanctioned tournament guidelines with any and all decisions made final by the tournament director .

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finalists in all divisions.

Water and snacks will be provided for registered players in the player tent

NO REFUND POLICY - CANCELLATION DEADLINE July 1st, 2025

Withdrawals before July 1st, 2025, will receive a refund of all fees paid less a $35 cancellation fee and non-refundable Pickleball Brackets service fee of $5 per event. Withdrawals must be submitted via email to the tournament registration desk before the Cancellation Deadline of July 1st to receive a refund.

No refunds or credits will be given for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE unless a Registration & Weather Insurance Policy has been purchased from Rocky Mountain Pickleball. This includes medical, travel issues, and partner withdrawals. No other policies will provide player coverage for the Mountain Town Classic.

WEATHER

The Mountain Town Classic is a combined outdoor and indoor event. Therefore, in the case of inclement weather, we will complete the competition on the 12 indoor courts.

We have a schedule in place that may adjust the initial timing of games, but we will be able to complete all scheduled games. We will send out updated schedules as necessary adjustments are made.
