****POOL PLAY****
Each team plays one game to 11 (win by 1) against every team in their pool.
Pools of 8 teams = 7 matches guaranteed **subject to final registration and attendance**
****PLAYOFFS****
Playoff seeds will be determined by the number of wins/losses, then points scored/ points against, then head to head record-through the round robin.
Top 2 teams from each pool advance to semifinals.
Semis: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3.
Winners play for gold/silver.
Losers play for bronze.
Playoff format may vary depending on court flow but will be single elimination.(Most likely semi-final will be one game to 15,win by 1 and final will be 1 game to 15, win by 2)

If you have multiple accounts, we will use the highest to confirm or deny registration.
This event uses “X & Under” divisions with simple, clean eligibility rules, based on the DUPR you have AT REGISTRATION TIME.
Eligibility (per player):
3.0 & Under: DUPR 3.15 or below
3.5 & Under: DUPR 3.65 or below
Players may play up a division but MAY NOT PLAY DOWN.
Team Combined Maximums:
3.0 & Under: Max team combined = 6.00
3.5 & Under: Max team combined = 7.00
These rules ensure fair and balanced play while still allowing flexible partner choices.
****Additional DUPR Policies****
DUPR is verified at time of registration.
If your DUPR increases after you register, you are still eligible.
Players with N/A DUPR may enter any division they deem appropriate but are subject to director review.
Director may request a different division if competitive imbalance is clear.
****ENTRY FEE****
$70 per player ($65+$5 SWISH fee)

Organized brackets and live scoring through the SWISH app.
Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places.
****PRIZE MONEY****
Each division is eligible for up to $450 in prize money based on 16 teams per bracket.
Payout Structure:
- 1st Place: $300 + Sponsor Merch
- 2nd Place: $150
Prize money scales proportionally if a division has fewer than 16 teams. All divisions use the same payout formula to ensure fairness, as all players pay the same entry fee.

NEW YEAR’S PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

RELEASE OF LIABILITY — READ BEFORE REGISTERING
This Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the participant and Parody Pickleball Mgmt (“Organizer”), along with The Yards at Amelia, their respective owners, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives, sponsors, advertisers, event partners, and facility operators (collectively, the “Releasees”).
In consideration for being allowed to participate in the New Year’s Pickleball Tournament, its related events, and all tournament activities, the participant acknowledges, understands, and agrees to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
Participation in pickleball involves known and unknown risks, including but not limited to: slips, falls, collisions, dehydration, equipment failure, facility hazards, weather conditions, and other participants’ actions. These risks may result in injury, serious bodily harm, permanent disability, or death.
I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, and whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
2. Release, Waiver, and Indemnification
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the Releasees from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of or related to:
Injury, Disability, Death, Property damage, Or any other harm whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law.
3. Compliance With Rules
I agree to comply with all tournament rules, DUPR rules, posted facility regulations, and staff instructions.
If I observe any hazard or unsafe condition, I will immediately remove myself from participation and notify the Organizer or venue staff.
4. Medical Treatment
I consent to receive emergency medical care deemed necessary during the event and agree that Releasees assume no responsibility for any related medical expense.
5. Authorization for Media, Photos, and Video
I authorize Parody Pickleball Mgmt to capture and use photos, video, audio, or likenesses of me taken during the event for marketing, social media, advertising, and promotional purposes, without compensation.
All such media becomes the property of the Organizer.
6. DUPR Data Authorization
I authorize the Organizer to submit my match scores, results, and participation data to DUPR for the purpose of rating updates, recordkeeping, and public display on DUPR platforms.
7. Personal Information Consent
I authorize Parody Pickleball Mgmt to collect and use my personal information (including name, email, DUPR ID, and relevant tournament data) strictly for event management, DUPR score submission, communication, and safety purposes.
My information will not be sold or shared outside these uses.
8. Minor Participants (If Applicable)
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the following:
PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT & RELEASE
I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above-named minor. I consent to their participation and agree to all terms of this Agreement on behalf of myself and the minor. I further release and indemnify the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to the minor’s participation, even if arising from the negligence of the Releasees, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Participant Acknowledgment
I have read this Agreement, understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights. I sign freely and voluntarily.
