This tournament is designed for amateur players, offering a competitive yet fun environment in a stunning jungle backdrop. With a total of 27 amateur events, there's a spot for everyone!

Tournament Format

Amateur Events:

Round Robin format within age and skill brackets.

Match Format:

Round Robin: 1 game to 11, win by 2.

Elimination Rounds: 1 game to 15, win by 2.

Medal Rounds:

Bronze Medal Match: 1 game to 21, win by 2.

Gold Medal Match: Best 2 out of 3 to 11, win by 2.

Registration Information

Fee per person: $50 tournament registration includes first event, $25 each additional event.

Registration Opens: December 9, 2024, at 7 PM (CST).

Registration Closes: December 25, 2024, at 4 PM (CST).

Payment: All payments are made after registration through a payment link to our Costa Rican payment gateway. We will contact you with payment information once your registration is complete.

Your registration is not confirmed until both partners have registered and paid. Partners have 5 days to complete registration, or you may be moved to the waitlist.

Note: Nosara Pickleball reserves the right to combine brackets, alter match formats, or move teams between skill levels based on registrations.

Additional Information

Weather: This is an outdoor tournament, and games will be played rain or shine. Please be prepared for possible weather-related delays or changes to match formats.

Venue: Nosara Pickleball features 4 outdoor hardcourt pickleball courts. Free parking is available on-site.

Equipment:

Paddles: USAPA-approved paddles are required.

Ball: Franklin X-40.

Clothing: Players are encouraged to wear light-colored clothing due to the tropical climate.

Officiating: All medal matches will be refereed. Referees for other matches will be provided where possible.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome, but seating is limited, so feel free to bring your own chair.

Pets: No pets are allowed on the courts, except for service animals.

Prize Money

All amateur events with draw sizes above 10 participating teams will receive prizes in the form of credits to Nosara Pickleball:

1st Place: $300 dollar credit (for the team)

2nd Place: $200 dollar credit (for the team)

Refund Policy: Refunds are available until March10, 2025, minus a $15 administration fee. No refunds will be given after this date.
