• If this is the first time you will participate in a tournament which uses the Pickleball Brackets system, give careful thought to the skill levels you recorded in your Player Profile. These skill levels plus .250 will be the starting point for your tournament rating calculation. To assist with validating the starting point for your tournament ratings, please read the information and complete the online Canadian Tournament Player Rating form by copying and pasting this link in a browser window: https://pickleballcanada.org/play/competitive-pickleball/ratings/
• Your Canadian Tournament Player Rating (CTPR) is used to determine your skill level for entering this tournament. It is found by searching for your name in the Pickleball Canada Organization on www.pickleballbrackets.com.
• Participants may play up a .5 skill level or down in age, BUT AT LEAST ONE TEAMMATE MUST BE AT THE CORRECT SKILL LEVEL (Check with the tournament director for exceptions)
• Players may enter a maximum of 3 events and may only enter one doubles, one singles and one mixed doubles.
• Enter as a team or look under 'Players Needing A Partner' to find a partner
• In the case of wait lists, in doubles events, teams will take priority over individuals. Our goal is to accommodate as many people as the schedule will allow - but at the same time have a well-rounded tournament with representation from all skill levels.
• Players who register without a partner will have five days to find a partner before being moved to the Waitlist. Once a partner has been found they will be moved off the waitlist, space permitting.
• Age brackets will be combined if the number of entries does not support separating brackets by age.
• Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.
• The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine or split brackets based on registrations.
• The tournament ball will be the Onix Fuse G2 outdoor neon green; with thanks to our Sponsor - ONIX
• Level 1 Referees will be compensated $5 per match; Level 2 Referees $7 per match; Certified Referees $10 per match. Volunteer referees with the appropriate training are also encouraged to referee, space permitting. Sign up on Pickleball Desk at www.pickleballdesk.com/signup/302
