The DOUBLES and TEAM events are "stand alone" events, therefore you can play in one without playing in the other. To be eligible for the CUP, you have to play in the TEAM event. To give yourself the best chance to win the CUP, all four teammates should play doubles too (you do NOT have to play with your Teammates in doubles to earn CUP points).
Get ready for one of the most exciting pickleball weekends of the year!
This unique event lets you grab 3 friends to form a team of 4 (Teams are either all male or all female).
Here’s how it works:
• Saturday: Doubles Event All Ages (Men's and Women's Divisions Only, NO MIXED)
• Sunday: Team Event (Men's and Women's Divisions Only, NO MIXED or AGE GROUPS) – 4 person teams and you play matches against other teams in your division. A match consists of 4 doubles games (Team Captains decide the lineup and each player will play 2 games in a match), the team that wins the most games wins the match. If both teams win 2 games, then a 5th modified doubles game will be played to determine the winner.
EARN POINTS for your team on Saturday based on how you finish in each division. The Doubles Portion will include 50+ Age brackets. Then as a team earn more points on Sunday, and the Team with the most points takes home the CASH 💰 and gets their name engraved on the Cup!
Team Scoring
Players earn Cup points individually. Any rostered 4v4 player who competes in Doubles or Age Based divisions earns points for their team — even if they play with a non teammate.
Example: A team registers for 4v4 DUPR 15.5 with players rated 4.0, 4.0, 4.0 (50+), and 3.5. To maximize scoring:
• The two 4.0 players enter 4.0 Doubles together.
• The 4.0 (50+) player enters 4.0 50+ Doubles with a different partner.
• The 3.5 player enters 3.5 Doubles with a different partner.
All results count toward the team’s total.
Summary:
Points follow the player — not the partnership.

🏆 Rating Eligibility & Locked Ratings
Locked Ratings for Team Placement
Once a player registers for the Championship Cup, their DUPR rating is locked. Any rating changes — increases or decreases — will not affect:
• The team’s aggregate rating
• The team’s division placement
• The team’s eligibility status
This ensures stability and prevents mid event reclassification.
Eligibility for Championship Cup Prize Money
To qualify for Championship Cup prize payouts, all four teammates must have an established DUPR rating. A valid, established rating must include:
• At least one tournament or league match recorded in DUPR within the past 12 months, OR
• A rating assigned by a Certified DUPR Coach
Self Reported scores do NOT count toward establishing a rating, if rating appears to be manipulated by Self-Reported scores that team may be deemed ineligible for the Cash Prize.
