Road to Minors (RTM) is a tournament series that provides a pathway for amateur players to qualify for a Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) DUPR 12-22 roster. Road to Minor Juniors is a singles and doubles format tournament for juniors 17 years and younger. The purpose of RTM Juniors is to provide consistent local competitions with a greater goal of reaching the Minor Leagues at the end of the year.

Players have the chance to earn points at every tournament they enter and accrue their individual points throughout the year. Players can sign up with different partners at each tournament and their points will follow them on an individual basis. The top performing players with the most points by the end of October 2025 will be invited to the RTM Cup (Finals) at Down the Line Sports Center in Fairfax, VA, outside of Washington DC.

RTM Cup will be MLP format and all players will be drafted onto an MLP team. The DC Pickleball Team and other MLP representatives will be present at this tournament to scout potential players for their Minor League DUPR teams (DUPR 12-22).

Rosters for the DUPR 12 and DUPR 14 teams will be exclusively juniors who are 17 years old and younger.

Every tournament will have a specific level with its own point system based on the number of courts/size of each tournament.

RTM is designed to provide LOCAL tournaments for players so they do not need to travel long distances to enjoy good competition.

RTM JUNIORS REQUIREMENTS

All Juniors must have an active DUPR account.

Juniors under 13 years old must have a parent submit this form to create a DUPR account.

DUPR sessions are not required for RTM Juniors.

RTM TOURNAMENT POINT SYSTEM:

Gold (14+ courts): 1st (1,000), 2nd (700), 3rd (400), 4th (200), 5th (100 points), 6th (50 points)

Silver (7-13 courts): 1st (700), 2nd (400), 3rd (200), 4th (125). 5th (75 points), 6th (25 points)

Bronze (3-6 courts): 1st (400), 2nd (250), 3rd (100), 4th (75)

RTM SERIES PERKS:

Medalists will receive DCPT, DTL, or RTM merch (1st, 2nd, 3rd place).

There is a No Refund policy for all RTM events 7 days before the day of the event. If you cancel and someone on the waitlist is able to fill your spot DTL may issue you a refund as long as the cancellation is made 48 hours prior to the day of the event. Service fees are not refunded.
