Assemble your teams and compete in Minor League Pickleball!

FORMAT:

Minor League Pickleball is an innovative team competition where teams compete against each other in an engaging format, with twists on traditional match-ups and scoring for games, matches, and tiebreakers. Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MiLP Team Format:

MiLP is an ingenious gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court. In the MiLP format team matches are composed of four 21-point games, one women’s doubles, a men’s doubles, and the final two games consisting of mixed doubles. If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games are played, they’ll go to a Dreambreaker™! In a Dreambreaker™ one person from each team plays singles against the other team’s player, switching players every four rallies until someone gets to 21 and wins by two points. Teams will compete in a round robin to bracket playoffs format, with a guarantee of a minimum three full matches.

MiLP v3 is a round-robin team competition with guaranteed matches. Gendered teams of 3 players are broken into divisions (based on their combined DUPR rating) to compete against each other in three 21-point games. Top teams will face off in a bracket playoff.

MiLP v4 is just like the traditional mixed teams format, but divided into Gendered teams and divisions.

The Dink Minor League Pickleball Guarantee: Predictable playing times and reduced waiting periods between matches. Guaranteed 6 played games with at least 3 matches each. A fair, level-based competitive experience - whatever your level of play!

DUPR Divisions for 4 player teams:

DUPR 20 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.900)

**If DUPR 22 is offered, the maximum DUPR 20 team aggregate is 20.300

DUPR 18 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.300)

**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 5.100 to play in DUPR 18

DUPR 16 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.300)

**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.600 to play in DUPR 16

DUPR 14 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.300)

**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.100 to play in DUPR 14

DUPR 12 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.300)

**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 3.600 to play in DUPR 12

Once a team registers for a Minor League Pickleball event, their ratings are “locked” and their DUPR increasing or decreasing will not impact the team’s aggregate or division placement for that specific event.

To sign up for any Minor League Pickleball event, a DUPR account is required at the time of registration. Not rated players can play; however, their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.

Refund Policy

VERIFY LANGUAGE:

Cancellation Deadline:

To receive a refund minus the $5 player technology fee (per event) and the $5 processing fee (per event), cancellation must be received by the end of day 15 days prior to the Minor League Pickleball event start date.

Example: Event start date is June 15, 2024. Cancellation must be received by 11:59pm local time on Friday, June 1, 2024. After June 1, 2024, no refunds will be issued.

VERIFY LANGUAGE:

Individual Registration Refund Policy: Individual Registrations are not guaranteed placement in a team. Players that sign up as a single player (Individual Registration) with no team and are not placed in a team, will receive a full refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee 3-5 business days after the event ends.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Some Minor League Pickleball events are outdoor events. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, the Tournament Director will do all it can to play the matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.

REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE POLICY:

During registration you may choose to purchase the Registration and Weather Insurance Policy in the event you have to cancel out of the event after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE (see refund policy). See the policy for specific coverage details. The insurance will also cover your event fee in the case your event is cancelled due to weather without a make-up day option.
