Welcome to The 2nd Annual Summit Spring Smash.


The Summit is a state of the art indoor pickleball facility with 6 dedicated hard courts with permanent nets, 2 dinking warm up kitchen areas, a lounge with two 70” tvs and beer/wine on tap as well. The Summit is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Boone, NC. The deadline to register is Sunday, February 16th.

Because we are an indoor facility, we can guarantee the tournament will not be disrupted because of weather. We will play rain or shine.

The Summit is locally owned and operated. We are pickleball players just like you. This is how we run our tournaments:

-all events are round robin to bracket play

-we run efficient tournaments. You are on court a bunch, minimal sitting-around time, and done to enjoy the rest of your day.

-DUPR is used for skill level registration. Sandbagging stinks, this is our best defense against it.

The schedule will be as follows -

Friday Feb 21st 5p: Mens & Womens Singles

Saturday Feb 22nd: Mens & Womens Doubles 


Sunday Feb 23rd: Mixed Doubles



Competition each day will begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.



The registration fee is $45, each event is an additional $15.


As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original division and not the combined bracket. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills. Tournament management also reserves the right to convert brackets to double elimination if necessary.



Skill levels include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+.




A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.



RATINGS



- DUPR ratings will be used - THIS IS OUR BEST DEFENSE AGAINST SANDBAGGING


- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self rating will be used.


- Players who have official USAPA UTPR or DUPR rating but NO PickleballBrackets.com rating, MUST self-rate using their UTPR or DUPR rating.


-Players with a UTPR or DUPR that is higher than their Pickleball Bracket rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your partner must register within five days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.



There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

All brackets with 4 or more teams will play round robins with medal rounds to follow.

This tournament is sanctioned by the Southern Pickleball Association and all medal winners will become eligible to play in the 2025 Southern Pickleball Championships. For more information on the Southern Pickleball Association visit southernpickleball.com.

Cancellation deadline is 9pm, April 13th, 2025. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee.

ALL REFUNDS will be sent after the tournament is completed.
