WOMENS, MENS AND MIXED DOUBLES EVENTS

Double Elimination Skill/Age

Skill levels of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5, see tournament event details for skill and age brackets. All brackets will be double elimination unless less than 6 teams are entered.

If less than 6 teams, the event will be a round-robin.

You can register 'up 0.50 points' in skill level, if desired. For example, if your UTPR is 3.0, you are eligible to play in the 3.0 skill level event or the 3.5 skill event - but NOT the 4.0 skill level event (as that is over 0.5 points). You can register 'down' in age events.

REGISTRATION OPENS

September 2, 2024 at 12 Noon Arizona Time (Pacific Standard Time)

Attention Players: When registering make sure you list your cell phone number as we will be using text messages to alert you when you are playing and what court you will be on.

USAPA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT

You must be a current USAPA member with a Championship level membership (not a Challenger level) in order to play in this sanctioned tournament.

The UTPR Rating System will be used for this tournament.

Tournament Director reserves the right to divide and/or combine brackets or change the format based on registration.

8:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 3.0 - AGE 50 - 64

8:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 3.5 - AGE 50 - 59

8:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 4.0 - AGE 60 +

8:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 4.5 - AGE 50 +

9:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 3.0 - AGE 65 +

10:30 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 4.0 - AGE 50 - 59

11:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 3.5 - AGE 60 - 64

11:00 AM WOMEN'S DOUBLES 3.5 - AGE 65 +

CHECK IN

Please check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time. You will be required to show Photo ID. Your bracket may start 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. If there is an emergency and you will not make your check in time, please contact the Tournament Director at (970) 739-3905.

PLAYER FEES

Registration Fee - $50.00 (includes referee fee)

Event fee (each event entered) - $10.00

Pickleball Brackets Surcharge (will show on your receipt) - $5.00/event entered

Stripe will be replacing PayPal for collection of fees made by credit card. This is per Pickleball Brackets directive. You do not need to have a Stripe account to register/pay via your credit card.

CONFIRMATION

A registration is not considered confirmed until both partners are completely registered and fees are paid.

An event will be considered filled when paid/completed registrations for that event reach established maximums.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Players age is determined as of 12/31/2024

Minimum age of any player shall be 50

Registration starts September 2, 2024 at 12 noon Arizona time (Pacific Standard Time)

Final registration deadline (Received by) 10/29/2024

Membership required through 11/08/2024

October 20th is the deadline for players to find a partner or for partners to register. If you haven't found a partner or your partner isn't registered, you will be moved to the waitlist.

The tournament director reserves the right to change the format to a round-robin if there are less than 6 teams registered in any age/skill group.

There will NOT be medal match playoffs, medals will be awarded per games won with point differential as the tie-breaker, if needed.

NOTE: Event results are submitted automatically to USAPA for UTPR ratings. PBB has now integrated with DUPR, and results should also go to each participants DUPR account.

Cancellation Deadline 10/29/2024

Players withdrawing from the tournament prior to 10/29/2024 (October 29th at midnight) will be subject to a $15 Admin Fee. No refunds given after 10/30/2024 12:01 am. In addition, the $5.00 per event Pickleball Brackets fee is non-refundable, as they collect these fees upon your registration, not after the tournament concludes.

Inclement weather:

We have no control over the weather, should conditions prevent safe play, we may be forced to cancel event(s). Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund registrations due to weather related cancellations of event(s).

THIS IS ZERO ALCOHOL TOLERANCE TOURNAMENT. ANYONE FOUND CONSUMING ALCOHOL BEFORE, BETWEEN, OR DURING THEIR MATCHES WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED FROM FURTHER COMPETION.
