AUGUST 2 UPDATE 5:30AM
SURPRISE! Somehow it is not raining this morning, and the ground seems pretty dry. There is only a 19% chance of rain all morning.
So HIT THE ROAD, Men's 4.0+ Doubles! Play starts at 8AM todayl.

AUGUST 1 UPDATE 12:00PM
We are drying the courts now! Planning to start Men's Doubles 3.0 / 3.5 and Women's Doubles 3.0 / 3.5 at 2:00 today, provided the courts are dry and barring any additional rain!
AUGUST 1 UPDATE 10:30AM
Play is delayed until 2:00PM. Next update at 12:00PM.
It looks like the rain will subside around 12:00PM today, giving us a short window to play before the rain starts again this evening. We will start drying courts as soon as the rain stops. factoring in the humidity, low temperature, and lack of sunlight today, we anticipate that it will take 2 hours for the courts to fully dry.
So, here's our TENTATIVE PLAN, provided that the rain does actually stop this afternoon. Please note the word "tentative." This entire plan relies on rain stopping by 12:00. Wait for the 12:00 update for confirmation that we are putting the plan into action!
Begin drying courts around 12:00.
Start play around 2:00.
Brackets playing at 2:00 would be Men's Doubles 3.0/3.5 and Women's Doubles 3.0 / 3.5.
Play estimated to finish around 6:00PM.
VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Men's and Women's Doubles 3.0 / 3.5 teams, please let me know ASAP if you would still play if we start at 2:00 today.
Men's 4.0 players, we are so very sorry that we will not be able to squeeze your bracket in today. With 18 teams in your division, your bracket will take much longer to play, and would most likely be rained out halfway through the competition. Tim and I will discuss possible refunds for this division sometime next week.
We are making the best decisions we can given some really crappy weather. Hang in there everyone!

AUGUST 1 UPDATE 7:30AM
Play is delayed until 12:00PM. Next update at 10:00AM.
JULY 31 UPDATE
As most of you already know, the weather forecast this weekend is looking pretty bleak. We have been monitoring it very closely.
We will make adjustments to our schedule of play as needed as this weather situation develops. Changes will be emailed to everyone and will also be listed on the tournament's home page in PickleballBrackets.com (the site where you registered).
Here is the plan for SATURDAY:
We are pushing morning start times back one hour on Saturday. New morning start time is now 10AM.
Tim and I will put our heads together around 7AM to evaluate the weather. We will inform everyone of conditions in North Manchester shortly after 7AM, via EMAIL and the PickleballBrackets.com home page. At that time, we will tell you what time our next update will be posted (if applicable). Be sure to check your email or the website BEFORE you head out tomorrow.
Please note that we generally cannot answer individual emails during the event. We simply do not have time to do so; we get very busy during tournaments. We will keep everyone up-to-date as described above.
It is always our goal to play all / as many matches as possible. Please bear with us as we navigate this bad weather.

PICKLEBALL BRACKETS
Please note that I do NOT use Pickleball Brackets to manage the live tournament. Unless I have extra time while on site. I use my own system. It provides for much quicker court turnover. So don’t look on PB for start times or live match results. Scores WILL be entered into PB, but likely after the event is over.
START TIMES
Start times were emailed to everyone last Sunday. Copy below. =)
FORMAT
Round robin + playoff
Minimum 5 games per team
We will have a player meeting each day to review format of play for each bracket.
WATER
It’s going to be quite humid this weekend. Please be sure to bring a water bottle with you, and stay hydrated! We will have limited bottled water available at the venue.
FOOD
Wait for it . . . We will be grilling hot dogs for you each day of the tournament! We will also have snacks available throughout the day.
PARKING
• Limited parking spots along W 9th Street, along the north side of the courts
• Parking lot on south side of park
• Street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods
• Large lot at Manchester High School, just behind Strauss Peabody Aquatic and Fitness Center.
Saturday Parking: There is a parade on Saturday. Market Street will be closed.
Sunday Parking: There is a 200-person church service at the park from 10:30-11:30.
WEATHER
We are watching the weather forecast closely. If we are forced to delay play on any given day, we will notify you via email. Please check your email regularly for updates. We do not have an indoor backup.
