The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation presents the fourth Bay State Summer Games Skill Level/Age Group Pickleball Tournament.
This is a qualifying event for the 2024 State Games of America Pickleball tournament. The State Games of America are held every two years and include medalists from the other 35 State Games programs across the US. The past State Games Pickleball tournament had over 600 participants from over 27 states.
Registration is open to players of all ages.
Skill levels are 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
FOR HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION ONLY - DIVISIONS WILL BE BASED ON GRADE AS OF THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR, NOT SKILL LEVEL
*********SIGN UP BY SKILL LEVEL***************
Skill level groups will be split by age groups to create competition events.
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player.
Players with calculated PickleballBrackets.com ratings must use that rating.
USAPA members who do not have a PickleballBrackets.com rating, must use their UTPR rating.
All other players may self rate. Please seek the advice of an experienced fellow player when self rating.
Ratings will be verified on July 15th, 2022 following the close of registration. Players and teams may be moved to a higher skill level bracket on that date based on updated PickleballBrackets.com or UTPR ratings.
The tournament director reserves the right to move players and teams to the appropriate skill levels and can combine or split groups.

Medals will be awarded by the event with the top three teams in each event receiving the appropriate gold, silver, and bronze Bay State Games medal.
For a guaranteed spot in the tournament in doubles and mixed doubles, the second partner will have three days to register after the first partner signs up. If the second partner does not register within that time limit, the team will be moved to the waiting list. Once the second partner registers, the team will be moved back into the event if there are still openings available.
Women's Doubles and Men's Doubles will be held on Saturday, July 22nd.
Mixed Doubles will be held on Sunday, July 23rd.
The tournament format is round robin for events with a small number of teams. For events with more than 9 teams, teams will be divided into pools and the top teams in each pool advancing to a playoff round to determine medal winners. A minimum of 4 games is guaranteed per team.
