Welcome to The 2023 Camden Open in Camden, South Carolina. The tournament will be played at The Tennis Center and Pickleball Plaza, at 823 Campbell Street, Camden, South Carolina, 29020.

The 2023 Camden Open will be a USSP Sanctioned Event and a South Carolina Pickleball Association event. All players age 50 and older will receive a 2023 US Senior Pickleball (USSP) Membership at no additional charge. USSP members receive a $10 discount off future USSP events as well as earn USSP ranking points.

This year's schedule is:

Mens and Womens doubles 60+ brackets all day Friday September 29

Mens and womens singles all ages/skills all day Friday September 29

Mixed doubles all day Saturday, September 30

Mens and womens doubles all day Sunday, October 31

Skill levels to include Novice, 3.0,3.5,4.0, and 4.5

Competition each day will begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.

The registration cost is $50 and includes 1 event, each additional event is $10.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original division and not the combined bracket. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills. Tournament management also reserves the right to convert brackets to double elimination if necessary.

Current updated skill ratings will be used to determine skill levels. Tournament staff will check status as registration proceeds to ensure people are in correct brackets as the next update is not until September 1.

Cancellation deadline is 9pm August 31st , 2023. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee.

If the tournament is cancelled due to COVID restrictions or directives from government authorities, we will credit your registration fees less any prorated incurred expenses toward a future GPA tournament.

This is an outdoor tournament. There are no refunds for weather related cancellations unless a player has purchased tournament cancellation insurance for $12.00

If an event has STARTED and is cancelled due to weather there will be no refunds or credits. We will make every effort to complete any event that has been started. Tournament Director reserves the right to change format, shorten games, or make any other changes they feel will help complete the event.

Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Southern Pickleball events.

ALL REFUNDS will be sent within 7 days after the tournament is completed.
