Welcome to the 2023 Rock'n the HOP. The House of Pickleball (HOP) is a beautiful 15 court pickleball facility in Newnan which is known as the City of Homes. There are six National Register Historic Districts containing some of Georgia's most beautiful homes and commercial buildings. When you aren't playing pickleball, you can enjoy a self-guided driving tour and see the districts that include Antebellum and Victorian homes, the 1904 historic courthouse, Oak Hill Cemetery, the History Depot, and the McRitchie Hollis Museum.
This tournament is a Southern Pickleball/Georgia Pickleball Association Sanctioned Tournament. In addition all 50+ divisions are part of the USSP (United States Senior Pickleball) Tour.
Registration Cost is $55 and includes one event and a Free T-Shirt. Additional events are $15.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday May 5th Senior Men's & Women's Doubles - 60+ and 70+ age brackets
Saturday May 6th Mixed Doubles
Sunday May 7th Men's and Women's Doubles - 15+, 35+ and 50+ age brackets
Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event. Players participating in the senior events on Friday may also play in the double events on Sunday.
Format of play will be round robin followed by medal brackets or medal matches.
As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original division and not the combined bracket. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills.
Skills levels include 2.5,3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+.
Age groups are 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2023.
RATINGS
- PickleballBrackets.com ratings will be used.
-Players with a UTPR or DUPR rating that is higher than their PickleballBrackets.com calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your partner must register within five days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.
There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.
Additional Information
All players age 50 and older will receive a 2023 US Senior Pickleball (USSP) membership at no additional charge. USSP members receive a $10 discount off future USSP events as well as earn USSP ranking points.
The Southern Pickleball Association (SP) sanctions tournaments in 8 southern states. The premium SP 12 month membership is a $30 fee. SP memberships allow players to play in all Southern Pickleball sanctioned tournaments and leagues. Premium members receive a Southern Pickleball t-shirt, special pricing on merchandise from SP partners and early access to registration on premiere events. SP maintains rankings for all players.
