About Friends of MACC & MACC
Friends of MACC is a group of animal lovers rallying around MACC, Davidson County’s only open admission shelter, to save more lives and serve more pets and people in our community. We provide volunteer hours, creative solutions, and financial support to help MACC expand its reach throughout Nashville and build more loving, lasting bonds between people and their pets.
For instance, Friends of MACC provides critical funding for MACC’s emergency medical fund, Safety Net Program, and foster program. We also enrich the shelter experience for our shelter pets by providing much-needed supplies, spending time with the animals in the shelter, promoting adoptable animals and MACC’s services, and funding special projects that help make our homeless animals happier and healthier during their stay at the shelter.
Each year, MACC helps approximately 6,000 animals in Nashville by keeping them safe, providing emergency medical care, helping them find a new home or their way back home, or offering life-saving resources in the form of free food, medical support, and training.
We look forward to seeing you at the Music City PicklePaw Classic in November!
