The Ocala Pickleball Club will be hosting the 2025 Third Annual Big Sun Pickleball Tournament, to be held at the John R. Hunt Pickleball courts at Coehadjoe Park, in scenic Ocala Florida. The event will be held on Saturday, November 15th, beginning at 8:00 am. Registration will begin on July 1st, 2025, and will be limited to 72 teams on a first come first served basis. Registration cost is $50.00 with a $5.00 service fee. Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age/skill division. Each entrant is guaranteed to play 3 games. Competition will consist of both Men's and Women's doubles. Player divisions will consist of the following:

Men's Skill/Age Competition: (3.0) (18-49), (50-64), (65-above)

(3.5) (18-49), (50-64), (65-above)

(4.0) (18-49), (50-64), (65-above)

Women's Skill/Age Competition: (3.0) (18-49), (50-64), (65-above)

(3.5) (18-49), (50-64), (65-above)

(4.0) (18-49), (50-64), (65-above)

The Ocala Pickleball Club reserves the right to change or modify the skill/age divisions based on the number of registrations and/or distribution of the divisions prior to the beginning of the tournament.

Part or all of the proceeds derived from the Big Sun Pickleball Tournament will be donated to promote pickleball in the Ocala area and for local charities in need.

FORMAT:

• All brackets will follow a round-robin (pool play) format with a single elimination playoff.

• Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

• Round-robin brackets will include 4–8 teams.

• The top 4 teams from each bracket will advance to the playoffs.

Location: The John R. Hunt Pickleball Courts at Coehadjoe Park are located at 4225 NE 35th Street, Ocala Fl. 34479.

Parking: Follow the way signs when entering the park. Parking will be in the open field area to the east side of the pickleball courts.

Raffle drawings will take place the day of the tournament.

Due to the fact that the Big Sun Pickleball Tournament is a charitable fundraising event, the Ocala Pickleball Club will offer a limited refund policy once a participant is registered. Withdrawal deadline is October 15 at midnight. Players may withdraw prior to midnight on October 15 for any reason and receive a refund minus a $20 administrative fee. After October 15 there are no refunds for any reason.

Rain/Inclement Weather Information: Rain out date will be Sunday, November 16th at the John R. Hunt Pickleball Courts at Coehadjoe Park.

The Ocala Pickleball Club highly recommends that each entrant wear safety glasses or goggles for adequate eye protection during tournament games.
