Tournament Description
Join us INDOORS at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, MO for the RETURN of the Missouri Winter Games on March 7th, 8th and 9th!
LOCATION:
Cooper Tennis Complex 2331 E Pythian St. Springfield, MO 65802 w/ 14 temporary nets.
Franklin X-40 balls. Free Parking. Nice restrooms!
14 Indoor Courts. ALL BRACKETS INDOOR. Tennis Surface. Temporary Nets. Franklin X40 ball.
All brackets will be ROUND ROBIN. Some will have additional playoff bracket depending on registration. 4 game minimum.
Cost is $60 (this includes as many events you want to play). This includes the website service fee of $1.50 per person, which is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Includes "guaranteed" event shirt if you register by February 27th. Final registration deadline is March 5th at 8:00am.
Events will be:
Friday 8am-5pm: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Coed JUNIORS Singles (ages 8-12)
Friday 5pm-8pm: OPEN PLAY and PRACTICE $5 per person ($10 if not playing in tourney)
Saturday 8am-8pm: Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Senior Scrambles
Sunday 8am-5pm: Mixed Doubles, Coed Senior Scramble, Coed JUNIORS scramble (ages 8-12)
Senior Brackets (50+) may receive a $10 discount if you're a member of USSP.
JUNIORS bracket are 1/2 price.
Brackets will be separated by age and then skill level. You may play DOWN in age and/or UP in skill at your discretion. Be sure to register for your preferred age/skill level and check your current Skill Rating on Pickleball Brackets & DUPR.
This tournament will use DUPR ratings for primary placement. Please make sure to link your DUPR account to your PBB account. If you do not have a DUPR rating, then it will use your PBB rating or your self rating. If you do not know what skill level to register for, please seek the advice of experienced players and/or the Tournament Director. If you feel like your DUPR is NOT indicative of the level you should play, you must file an appeal and provide evidence of your circumstances to the Tournament Director.

Planned Age Divisions: 8-49, 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+ (scramble), 80+ (scramble)
Planned Skill Divisions:
<2.99 (beginner to novice)
3.0-3.49 (low intermediate)
3.5-3.99 (high intermediate)
4.0-4.49 (low advanced)
4.5-4.99 (high advanced)
5.0+ (expert)
Brackets generally would need to have a minimum of 5 teams or else they will be combined with similar skill or age levels. Events may be merged or split based on registration numbers and at the discretion of the TD. Medals will generally be awarded based on standings in the merged event with the exception of all 50+ brackets which are USSP certified (see below).
Exact bracket times will be announced after registration closes. . Some brackets start at 8am and others will start every 2-3 hours following. Once your bracket starts, you play until you're finished...usually 2-3 hours each.

Additional Information
There will be OPEN PLAY on Friday, March 7th from 5-8pm at the facility for $5.00 each ($10.00 per person if not registered for the tournament). No advance sign up required.
Registration includes a FREE T Shirt! Register by February 27th, 2025 to guarantee your shirt size. Registrations after February 25th, 2025 are NOT guaranteed to receive a shirt and will be first come/first served.
Please note that there will be a registration "Service Fee" charged for each registration of $1.50. This is a non-refundable fee charged by the website.
PLEASE NOTE: Brackets start times will not be finalized until after registration closes. Exact bracket start times will be posted about 2-3 days prior to the tournament. In order to avoid long wait times, some brackets won't start until later in the day.
ALL Proceeds will benefit either Missouri Winter Games and Ozarks Pickleball Club.
USSP (US Senior Pickleball)

Non-Compliant Paddles Identified
The following paddles have been deemed non-compliant and are prohibited in all Ozarks Pickleball Club events effective immediately:
• Joola: Perseus 14mm Mod TA-15, Perseus 16mm Mod TA-15
• Gearbox: Pro Power Elongated
• ProKennex: Black Ace Ovation Black Ace Pro, Black Ace LG, Black Ace XF
Approved Paddles
All Paddles used in Ozarks Pickleball Club tournaments must be approved by USA Pickleball and listed on their approved paddle list.
Joola “3s” paddles are also approved for use as they are approved by the UPA-A and also meet the new PBCoR testing standards by USA Pickleball.
Refund Policy
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Withdrawals made before the registration deadline will receive a full refund, less the nonrefundable service fees. No refunds will be given for withdrawals after the registration deadline.

Weather
This is an INDOOR tournament so the event will go as scheduled unless the facility is unable to host due to inclement weather or another reason. In that case, every effort will be made to play the games on their scheduled days, however, adjustments may be necessary, and no refunds will be given once an event has begun. If an entire event is completely cancelled due to inclement weather, refunds will be given for that event only, not for registration fees or other event fees.
Health & Safety
There will be AEDs and first aid kit on site as part of the normal operations of the facility. Players are allowed the customary 15 min medical timeout as described in the current USA Pickleball Rule Book. Please see the Tournament Director if you have any concerns.
