Welcome to the 2025 Pickleball Alberta Provincials Pickleball Tournament & Junior Championships! To celebrate this Championship, Juniors will be sent a special discount code for $50 off their registration fee.

This is a PCO Sanctioned tournament hosted by the Medicine Hat Pickleball Club. All registrants must be members of Pickleball Alberta and Pickleball Canada. As this is a PCO Sanctioned tournament, CTPR ratings will be used. Players are allowed to play up to 1.0 level from current CTPR rating. So, if you're a 3.0 rated CTPR player, you may play 3.0, 3.5, or 4.0.

The 2025 Pickleball Alberta Provincial Championships will be a closed event to all Alberta residents only so as to crown the best-of-the-best players in Alberta at all levels of play. Proof of residency will be required at check in. Any one of these are acceptable documents to prove residency:

- Alberta Birth Certificate

- Valid Alberta Drivers License

- Valid Alberta Health Care Card

- Alberta Identification Card

Tournament Dates: July 10 - 13, 2025

Registration Opens: March 1st, 2025 @ 7pm

Registration Closes: June 1st, 2025 @ 7pm

Details are as follows:

- Entry Fee: $100.00/player plus $15 per event

BRACKET FORMATS:

1-3 Teams - Combined with another bracket(s) of the same skill level if possible

4-5 teams - Round Robin 1 game to 15, win by 2, based on circumstances (ex. time, weather)

6+ teams - Traditional double-elimination bracket (matches are best 2/3 to 11 on the “A” side of the draw, win by 2). On the “B” side of the draw, each match will consist of 1 game to 15, win by 2.

- Age events maybe be modified based on registration numbers and in consideration of registered player ages.

- Mixed 65+ events will be on Sunday. As an added event, Mixed 65+ players may also sign up on Saturday to play in the Mixed 64 and under events.

- Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.

- Tournament Ball will be the outdoor yellow Franklin X40.

**The tournament director reserves the right to add, combine, modify, or cancel skill levels/events pending registration numbers. Events can also be rescheduled/cancelled as needed pending weather and other outside influences beyond our control (ie. Covid restrictions).**

A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register within 5 days of the first player's registration OR the team will be moved to the Wait List.

***YOUR PLAYER PROFILE- should have "Receive in game text messages" checked to "YES" AND Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments. FAILURE TO SHOW UP ON TIME FOR YOUR GAMES WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT***. Please arrive a minimum of 30 mins prior to the start of your event.

Medicine Hat Pickleball Club is please to host a Saturday Night Festival. Everyone is invited, players and spectators alike. Tickets are $10/person online and $15/person when purchased onsite. Kids under 5 yrs old eat for free. Tickets include a meal, games, and live entertainment. You can purchase your tickets right here on Pickleball Brackets as part of your registration.

Player requested withdrawals will be accepted until June 1st, 2025, at 7pm, with a full refund less $15 administration fee.

After June 1st, 2025, at 7pm, NO refunds will be provided. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Players who have purchased dinner tickets for Saturday night will not be eligible for refunds after June 1st, 2025 at 7pm.

There will be no transfer of dinner tickets as they are assigned to the "player".

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:

This is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occur, the tournament team will do all it can to play matches.

There will be No Rainout Day.
