RMC Player Experience:
Players are expected to report to the Player Check-in tent prior to their event start time. Emails will be sent out to players within the week before their registered event regarding their division’s block of pool-play court assignments. A court monitor, match starter and/or referee will be assigned to each pool for a brief pre-tournament orientation and to assist getting the matches underway. Any on-court disputes that cannot be solved by the players should be resolved by the assigned court monitor. Referees will be assigned to all medal and pre-medal matches , as well as any other matches if available.
Event Format:
Every division will be played in 2 parts: Pool play, followed by a bracket (Every team will qualify for bracket play). Pools will be determined by team DUPR average at the time of registration, and seeded accordingly. Pool play results will determine bracket play seeding. Pool Play Results will be weighted as follows: Game Differential, Point Differential, coin toss.
Players will be given 10 minutes warm-up on their first assigned court for the day, and 5 minutes warm-up for subsequent pool play matches. Players are to remain at their pool’s court block for the duration of pool play. Scores will be recorded by the court monitor after each game, and submitted to the tournament desk at the completion of pool play. At this time, players will be given a short break while the remaining pools are completed, the scores are tallied, and the bracket is prepared. The results will be input by the tournament desk and shared online through your division information page that was emailed to you, as well as online on the RMC tournament site. An announcement will be made regarding finalization of division pool play results and subsequent bracket play court assignments. ALL teams qualify for bracket play. For All non-open events, brackets will be played to completion (RMPCS season points will be accumulated based off final bracket placements).
Open division brackets will be pool play, followed by single elimination, with semifinalists either playing for Bronze/4th place that day or for Gold/Silver on Championship Sunday. All Open-division Gold medal matches will be played on Championship Sunday.
Scoring Format: Pool play games will be 1 game to 11 points, win by 2. Bracket play will be 1 game to 15, win by 2, until the semifinals, bronze medal match, and finals which will all be best 2/3 games to 11, win by 2. The RMC will be following USAP sanctioned tournament guidelines, with any and all decisions made final by the Tournament Director.
Prizes will be awarded to the medalists in all divisions.
Official ball of the RMC will be the Franklin X-40.
Water and snacks will be provided for registered players in the player tent.
