Tournament Description
Get some relief from the heat this August. The 2025 Seaside Classic Pickleball Tournament will be held INDOORS on August 22-24 at the J Byran Floyd Community Center in North Myrtle Beach.
In addition to Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, we will offer our popular Singles events again. The Men's Singles will be full court as usual, but for Women, we are offering Skinny Singles this time.
Players are guaranteed at least 4 games per event. The tournament format is Round Robin. Smaller brackets may also include a playoff as needed to balance out playing time across all players.
This is a non-sanctioned tournament.
The ratings used for registration will be your DUPR Ratings. If you do not have a DUPR rating, your Pickleball Brackets Self Rating will be used. Brackets include 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 & Above. (Note: 3.0 means 3.00 to 3.49.) Also, note that you may play up into a higher bracket (for example, a 2.5 may register to play 3.0). However, you cannot play down (for example, someone with a 3.5 rating may not play 3.0). A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player of their team.
The event schedule is as follows:
Men's Doubles and Women's Skinny Singles on Friday, August 22
Mixed Doubles on Saturday, August 23
Women's Doubles and Men's Singles on Sunday, August 24
Start Times will be posted 2-3 days prior to the Tournament.
Since only 6 courts are available for this tournament, each event has been configured with a Maximum number of attendees and no age brackets have been set up in advance. As registrations fill up, age splits will be added to brackets as appropriate.
Included in your Registration is access to the Hospitality room which will include Food and Water for all Players and Volunteers.
Raffles with some great prizes will be available to all players.
Additional Information
Proceeds from this tournament will be used to supplement amenities for the new North Myrtle Beach Pickleball Complex which will feature 15 state-of-the-art Outdoor Courts. Currently, the completion date for these is anticipated to be in 2026. This Complex will benefit all pickleball players on the Grand Strand as a premiere location for future events as well as day to day recreational play.
Refund Policy
Withdrawals:
* Upon request, full refund of Tournament Fee if withdrawal is completed prior to August 8
* Withdrawals on August 9 through August 15 will be reduced by $20. There will be no refunds for Withdrawals after August 15.
* The $5 or $10 Event Service Fees charged by Pickleball Brackets is non-refundable. (Service fee is $5 for first event, additional $5 for second event, and no charge for third event).
* Waitlisted ONLY players will not be charged a processing fee and may remain on the waitlist throughout the duration of the tournament. These players will charged when moved from the Waitlist to a scheduled event.
* There will be no refunds for events that are cancelled due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen event.
** Checks will only be issued when electronic forms of payment are not available (i.e. closed accounts or other reasons precluding an electronic transaction).
