<b>FORMAT OF PLAY<b/>
• All events begin with round robin qualifying, followed by semi-finals and medal matches.
• Round Robin Scoring
o Pools of up to five players/teams: Games to 15, win by 2.
o Pools of six or more players/teams: Games to 11, win by 2.
• Semi-finals: One game to 15, win by 2.
• Medal matches: Best of three games to 11, win by 2.
• Skinny Singles exception: Rally scoring applies.
• All players are guaranteed a minimum of three games per event.

Maximum Number of Events
Each player may enter a maximum of FIVE events, consisting of:
• One Gender Doubles
• One Mixed Doubles
• One Split Age Gender Doubles
• One Split Age Mixed Doubles
• One Singles or Skinny Singles
• Hybrid or Women's Doubles & Split Age Mixed Doubles
Players may NOT compete in two age divisions within the same event (for example, both Open and 19+).

This tournament will use Franklin X-26 indoor balls.

<b>DUPR, SKILL LEVEL & RANKINGS<b/>
• DUPR ratings will determine eligible skill divisions.
• In doubles, teams must enter at the skill level of the higher-rated partner.
• Division eligibility will be determined using each player's DUPR rating as at the Tournament Rating
• Skinny Singles skill based events will be based on a players doubles DUPR rating
Freeze Date. The Freeze Date will be 24 hours after the published close of entries.
• This is a Pickleball Australia sanctioned tournament.
• Players competing in eligible events will earn Australian Ranking (AR) points.
• The Global Pickleball Federation 2026 Official Rulebook will apply throughout the tournament.

<b>EVENT MERGING & SPLITTING<b/>
The Tournament Director (Matt Hort) reserves the right to merge or split events where necessary.
Events with fewer than four players or teams may be merged.
Merging will occur in the following order:
1. Within the same age group.
2. Within the same skill level.
All affected players will be notified by email.
Merged events will not be eligible for refunds unless the change prevents a player from competing.

<b>WAITLIST POLICY<b/>
Singles
Players will automatically be placed into the main draw unless their division is full.
Doubles
• Players may register without a partner but must secure one within seven days.
• If your partner has not registered within seven days, you will be moved to the waitlist.
• Complete teams (both players registered) will receive priority for available positions in the main draw.
• It is each player's responsibility to secure a partner and ensure they complete their registration.

<b>REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS<b/>
To register, players must:
• Hold an active Pickleball Australia membership.
• Create a free Pickleball Tournaments profile.
• Include their contact number, email address and Pickleball Australia membership number.
• Ensure their profile is connected to DUPR.
• Enter events in different categories (for example: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles).
• Players may enter age events based on thier age as at Dec 31 2026

<b>PLAYER CONDUCT<b/>
This tournament will also adhere to the PA Participant Code of Behaviour Policy. This can be found at: https://www.pickleballaus.org/tournaments
All competitors are expected to:
• Display sportsmanship and respect towards fellow players, referees and officials.
• Follow the GPF Official Rulebook.
• Respect the decisions of referees and tournament officials.
• Maintain accurate self-ratings and compete in the appropriate divisions.
Anyone behaving like they're auditioning for a reality TV meltdown may be asked to leave.

<b>TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION <b/>
The Tournament Director reserves the right to:
• Review and adjust player ratings.
• A tournament Rating Freeze Date is 24 hours after entries close.
• Move players or teams between divisions if entered incorrectly.
• Modify event start times and schedules.
• Merge or split events based on registration numbers.
• Alter match formats where necessary for safety or scheduling.
• Change court allocations to ensure the tournament runs smoothly. Rating Freeze
