We will be using only the Pickleball Brackets software for this event.
Registration Info: This event is adhering to strict DUPR regulations. Players/teams may be moved at registration close according to their appropriate division based on their rating and tournament director discretion. This ensures fair competition and reduces hyperbolic impacts on player' ratings
Players are expected to report to the player check-in tent prior to their event start time. Emails will be sent out with start times within the week before their registered event.
A court monitor, match starter, and/or referee will be assigned to each pod of courts. Any on-court disputes that cannot be solved by the players should be resolved by the assigned court monitor, a referee, or ultimately the tournament director. Referees will be assigned to all medal matches as well as any other matches if available.
Event Format:
Every division will be played in two parts: Pool play, followed by a single elimination bracket. Every team will qualify for bracket play and be seeded according to pool play results.
Brackets may be divided into further age-specific brackets if necessary.
Pool play results will be weighted as follows: game differential, point differential, coin toss.
Players will receive text updates for upcoming matches, but we recommend staying near your court pod for the duration of your bracket to avoid any unnecessary forfeitures.
Players will be given 5 minutes warm-up on their first assigned court for the day and two minutes warm-up for subsequent matches. Scores will be recorded by the players after each game via their phones through pickleballbrackets. The results will be input by the tournament desk and shared online throughout the event. You will receive text message notifications for score confirmations and to announce every assigned match.
Scoring Format (All teams advance to single elimination bracket, all gold medal matches will be best two out of three games to 11 win by 2):
Pools with 4 teams or less play games to 15 win by 2
Pools with 5 or more teams play games to 11 win by 2
Playoff brackets will be games to 15 win by 2, until the gold medal match best 2/3 to 11 win by 2.
The MTC will be following USAP sanctioned tournament guidelines with any and all decisions made final by the tournament director .
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finalists in all divisions.
