The NSW Pickleball Championships is the largest pickleball event in NSW with over 900 players expected in 2026. The 3 day tournament will held at the Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope Gardens from Friday 17 April to Sunday 19 April. Any member of Pickleball Australia - including Pickleball NSW - can enter. This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED Tier 3 tournament where players can gain Australian Ranking (AR) points, by entering specific events, signified by (AR) in the event title. Players of all age and skill levels are welcome!
Blacktown Leisure Centre is a huge modern venue which provides 38 outdoor pickleball courts and 16 indoor courts. The centre offers a free car park, a café, indoor aquatic centre and many other facilities. It is located next to Stanhope Gardens shopping centre and no more than a 45 minute drive from almost anywhere in Sydney.
The headline schedule of events will be:
Friday 17 April morning: Singles (full)
Friday 17 April afternoon: SKINNY Singles, Para Singles
Saturday 18 April: Women's/Girls' Doubles & Men's/Boys' Doubles
Sunday 19 April morning: Mixed Doubles
Sunday 19 April afternoon: Split age mixed doubles, Para doubles & Hybrid doubles
Registration is $70 and $35 for juniors (under 18) playing in junior events, which includes entry into one event. Each additional event costs $30 (and $15 for juniors in junior events). Players can enter a maximum of 5 events: 2 events on Friday and Sunday and 1 event on Saturday.
Players with a disability - Registration is $35, which includes entry into one event. Each additional event is $15 for para and/or hybrid events. Please reach out for a discount code prior to registration.
DOUBLES EVENTS
To register to play doubles you must commit to finding a partner (at the right age and skill level for each event) who has agreed to team up with you before the close of registration. Tournament organisers are not able to find doubles partners. For Doubles, you must sign up at the skill level of the higher-rated partner and the age bracket of the younger partner.
If you register a doubles event without a partner, you have 7 days to secure a partner and have your partner also enter the tournament. After 7 days if your partner fails to enter, you will be moved to the waitlist.
Split-age & Combined ages mixed double events - match results are not uploaded to DUPR.
PICKLEBALL.COM & PLAYER RATINGS
To register, you will need to have a Pickleball.com login and profile, which is free. Your profile must contain your mobile number, email, PAA ID number, and be connected to DUPR.
This tournament uses DUPR ratings.
FINDING YOUR DUPR RATING
1. Go to pickleballtournments.com
2. Search for your name under "players"
3. Select your profile, which shows your DUPR rating/s.
4. If you don't have a DUPR rating yet you can select a self rating - make sure you get advice to select the right rating.
The DUPR website www.dupr.com and app are also quite useful in checking your own and others' DUPR ratings.
PLAYERS WITH DISABILITIES
Players with disabilities are encouraged to enter mainstream events (with minor rule modifications) in addition to para and/or hybrid events.
Registrations for all events close at 10pm on 1 April, or earlier if capacity is reached. Note: some events will fill up very quickly. LATE ENTRIES ARE NOT POSSIBLE.
This tournament will use the current Global Pickleball Federation Rulebook.
