Pickleball NL Provincial Tournament – FAQ (2026)
We are excited to announce the 2026 Provincial Pickleball Tournament, taking place from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Rogers Dome (Greenbelt) and Northpoint Sports in St. John’s, NL.
How to Register
Registration opens on March 31 at 8:00 AM.
To register:
1. Visit PickleballTournaments.com (pickleball.com)
2. Log in or create your player profile
3. Ensure your DUPR account is connected to your profile
4. Ensure your Pickleball Canada number is connected to your profile
5. Register for your event(s) and submit payment
Note: Both partners must register individually to complete a team registration.
Important Information
All players must be active members of both:
* Pickleball Canada
* Pickleball Newfoundland & Labrador

Space is limited in each division. Pickleball NL reserves the right to combine divisions where necessary.
Divisions/pools will play at Rogers Dome at Greenbelt and Northpoint Sports - which division will play where will be determined at a later date.
Waitlists will be created for all divisions. If a team is waitlisted, they may register in an alternate (lower age) division. If a spot becomes available in their preferred division, they will be moved automatically.
Players may compete in one division per event, with a maximum of three events (e.g., women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and singles).
Registration Fees
* $40 per player (registration fee)
* $15 per player, per event
Example:
$40 registration + 3 events ($45) = $85 total per player
Skill Levels

The system allows registration at your level or up to 1.0 above:
* 2.5: ratings 1.0 – 2.99
* 3.0: ratings 2.0 – 3.499
* 3.5: ratings 2.5 – 3.999
* 4.0: ratings 3.0 – 5.0
Teams must compete at the level of the highest-rated player.
Age Divisions
* Age is determined as of December 31, 2026
* Teams must compete in the division of the youngest player
* Teams may choose to play in a younger age category
Additional Details
Registration is first come, first served.
If you do not have a partner, you can indicate this during registration using the “Looking for a Partner” option. We also recommend contacting tournament organizers directly to assist with pairing if you see someone "Looking for a Partner" Sometimes the "contact player" button doesn't work well.
A waitlist will be available for each division once full.
Tournament play will use the Franklin X-40 ball.
The tournament surface will be indoor hard court at both venues.
Partner Registration Policy:
* The first player to register holds the spot for 5 days
* The second partner must register within that timeframe
* If not completed, the team will be moved to the waitlist
* If a partner withdraws, the remaining player has 5 days to find a replacement
Scheduling Notes
Friday play:
We will aim to schedule older divisions earlier in the day, but cannot guarantee this. Players should be prepared to compete during daytime hours on Friday.
Final division schedules will be released on or before May 15, 2026.
