ROUND ROBIN Format for skill levels 3.0-4.5.
BRACKETS with 9 or LESS TEAMS:
Teams will play one game to 15 (win by 2), against the other teams in that bracket. Tie breaks will be determined using IFP guidelines (see below). There will be NO semifinals/pre-medal round. The top 4 teams will advance to the medal round. The top 2 seeds will play Gold/Silver (best 2 of 3 to 11 by 2) and the 3rd/4th seeds will play for Bronze (1 game to 15 win by 2).
BRACKETS with 10 or MORE TEAMS, will be divided into POOLS:
Teams will be divided into pools and compete in a round-robin format. Each team plays one game, to 15 (win by 2), against the other teams in that pool. Tie breaks will be determined using IFP guidelines (see below).
Each pool's top 2 winning teams will advance to a playoff round (Seed 1 vs Seed 4 and Seed 2 vs Seed 3). The winners will play the gold medal match, and the losers play for the bronze as described below.
The Gold medal match will use a best of three games, to 11, (win by 2) format.
The Bronze medal match will be 1-15, win by 2
First tie-breaker: head-head matches won
Second tie-breaker is the point differential of all games played.
Third tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential of all games played
Fourth tie-breaker: point differential against the next-highest team.
(e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)
5.0 WILL PLAY DOUBLE ELIMINATION FORMAT minimum of 7 teams.
