Welcome to the Second Annual San Juan Slam, a Western Slope regional pickleball tournament hosted by the Ridgway Pickleball Club (RPC) with Presenting Sponsor Citizen's State Bank. The San Juan Slam takes place at the town's Athletic Field from September 20-22 in historic and beautiful Ridgway, Colorado. With three days of competition, Sept. 20 Women's Doubles, Sept. 21 Mixed Doubles, and Sept. 22 Men's Doubles, this year's tournament will follow a Team Round-Robin pool play format with medal rounds at every skill level, providing participants plenty of gameplay. Brackets will include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 levels for all divisions. We will have a silent auction, T-shirts and food on site.

Women's Doubles Skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 - Friday, September 20

Mixed Doubles Skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 - Saturday, September 21

Men's Doubles Skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 - Sunday, September 22

Tournament Fees: $50 for each participant and includes registration for up to 2 events. There is an additional $5 service fee per event.

Registration opens on May 25 at 8am

Registration closes on September 6 at 10pm

Players must self-rate and teams must play at the skill level of the HIGHEST rated player using their USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR) if available. This is a team event, each player must register separately and list your partner or indicate that you need a partner.

Bracket slots will be filled with the first teams to have BOTH players registered and paid. Listed partners of players who are registered will have 7 days to register to hold their slot. If a player registers for an event and their partner does not register within 7 days, then the original registered player is moved to the waiting list. If your teammate then registers and there is still room in the event, then both are moved from the waiting list and into the event. Each player must register individually. Once the bracket is full, incomplete teams, teams not fully paid, and additional registrants will be placed on a waitlist. Waitlisted individuals/teams will be notified in the order in which they registered as space becomes available.

Participants are required to be at least 12 years old by December 31, 2024

Medals will be awarded to first, second and third place finishers in each skill bracket.

*The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the event format as needed based on the registrations. Events may be split or merged as needed based on registration numbers.

By completing your registration, you agree to release and discharge the Ridgway Pickleball Club/Tournament Committee and the Town of Ridgway from any and all actions, causes of action , claims and demands for, upon by reason of any damage, loss, personal injury or death which may result from or in connections with my participation of any nature in the San Juan Slam Pickleball Tournament. You understand that this release is binding upon you, your assigns and your personal representative and/or heirs.

Refunds will be available until registration closes on September 6, 2024. All refunds will be charged a $15 processing fee. Pickleballbracket service fees are non-refundable.

This is an outdoor tournament. If events are cancelled due to inclement weather, they are not guaranteed to be made up. No refunds for cancellations related to weather or other events beyond the control of the Tournament Director.

No refunds or credits for any reason after the registration closes on September 6, 2024.
