The World Pickleball Tour will be hosting the 2nd Annual Amateur Invitational Championships FULLY INDOORS!

From January 16-20, 2025, we'll be hosting AIC at the beautiful, 32-court, Rhythm & Rally in Macon, Georgia!

ABOUT THE WPT

The World Pickleball Tour is a strictly amateur tournament series that hosted 25 events in 2023 and hosted nearly 30 in 2024.

All of our tournament stops are considered "challenger" events, as all Medalisists receive discounted entry to the 2025 WPT Amateur Invitational Championships, which will pit the best amateur players in the country against each other as they compete for their share of the $175,000 CASH PURSE at the event!

We exist to grow the game at the grassroots level, and aim to provide high-quality, valuable, and memorable competitive experiences for you all, the amateur players. We look forward to seeing you at this event!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Skill/Age Brackets: 3.0-5.0; 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+ (70+ after registration close, if applicable). 18 and under can register for 19+.

Registration Perks: All players receive a WPT player swag bag: a reusable, branded tote that contains elevated giveaway items, hydration and nutrition essentials, court fashion accessories, other player necessities, and a World Tour DRIFIT t-shirt!

Format: This will be an unsanctioned, Round Robin-style event with 7 guaranteed matches (games to 11, win by 2).

Multiple Events/Same Day: Once registration closes and the schedule is created, players will have the opportunity to add another skill/age event to the same day of competition as long as the start times don't conflict. Unsure of what level to play or wishing to test out your skills at the next level up, now you can play two events in a single day!

Giveaways: The WPT will be providing sponsored giveaways that are raffled off at the event - from luxury bags to paddles and more!

WAITLIST:

When registering for DOUBLES, the second signed up teammate MUST register within 2 days of the first player. If a teammate does not register within the specified time limit then the first player will be placed on the waiting list automatically. Emails will go out to both players when this happens. Once the second teammate registers they will be moved off the waiting list IF there is still room in the event.

BRACKET MAX:

If a bracket reaches the initial 9-player/team limit, please add yourself to the waitlist. Brackets will be expanded up to 11-players/teams if there is space available in the event day. Brackets that do not max out at 11 could be combined to provide the best possible playing experience for all participants. The manner in which they would be combined will be determined at the close of registration. Medals and Payouts will ONLY be given to the OVERALL top 3, unlike Challenger events where individual medals are given out.

TOURNAMENT COST: include a registration fee ($100-$200; depending on the period) and a per event fee ($50).

DUPR AUDIT:

We moved people based on DUPR ratings. Players are placed based off their DUPR Ratings prior to the Pickleball.com/DUPR algorithm update 7 D. 3.0 bracket = 0.00 - 3.3, 3.5 = 3.31-3.80, 4.0= 3.81-4.30, 4.5= 4.31-4.8, 5.0= 4.81+

For example if Jeffrey's DUPR 3.993 he was over to 4.0 to ensure competitive balance.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

Players that withdraw PRIOR to November 1st will receive a refund back to their original form of payment, less a $30 processing fee.

Players that withdraw AFTER November 1st are not subject to a refund.

The World Pickleball Tour is proud to announce that the 2025 Amateur Invitational Championships will have a $175,000 Cash Purse. This will be awarded to medalists for each event, from 3.0-5.0.

The cash payout structure will be as follows:
