💵 Charleston Rangers™ MoneyBall – Refund Policy

The Charleston Rangers™ MoneyBall tournament is a professionally organized event with limited court space, structured brackets, and fixed operational costs. To maintain fair competition and scheduling integrity, the following refund policy applies to all registrations.

1️⃣ Refund Deadline:

The final day to request a refund is: April 12, 2026

All refund requests must be submitted in writing (email or official message).

Requests received on or before April 12 will be eligible for a tournament fee refund only.

After April 12, 2026:

❌ No refunds will be issued for any reason.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Injury

• Illness

• Scheduling conflicts

• Weather concerns

• Travel delays or cancellations

• Team or partner changes

• DUPR rating changes

This policy ensures stable brackets and fair scheduling for all players.

2️⃣ Processing & Registration Fees (Non-Refundable)

Credit card processing and registration fees are non-refundable.

These fees are charged by third-party platforms and cannot be recovered once the transaction is processed.

Non-refundable fees include:

• Stripe credit card processing fees: $5 – $10

• Registration platform fees: $10 – $20

Eligible refunds issued before April 12 will include tournament entry fees only ($45–$90 per bracket).

3️⃣ Tournament Format Adjustments

Charleston Rangers™ MoneyBall reserves the right to make necessary tournament adjustments in order to maintain event flow, player safety, and competitive integrity.

The Tournament Director may:

• Audit DUPR profiles and adjust placements for fair play

• Modify scoring formats

• Shorten match length

• Reduce the number of games

• Merge or condense brackets

• Adjust match schedules or start times

• Cancel specific divisions if necessary

If the tournament is modified or shortened, no refunds will be issued.

Every effort will always be made to complete as much tournament play as safely possible.

4️⃣ Player Substitutions

Player substitutions are permitted only before April 12, 2026.

Substitute players must meet the same DUPR rating category requirements as the original player.

After April 12:

❌ No substitutions

❌ No partner changes

❌ No team swaps

These restrictions prevent bracket disruption and protect the accuracy of DUPR-reported results.

5️⃣ Tournament Cancellation

In the rare circumstance that the entire tournament must be cancelled by Charleston Rangers™ due to facility closure, emergency, or uncontrollable circumstances:

Players will receive a partial refund, minus non-recoverable event costs already incurred.

This policy applies only if the entire event is cancelled.

It does not apply to:

• Event delays

• Format changes

• Schedule adjustments

• Shortened play due to weather or other conditions

6️⃣ No-Show Policy

Players who fail to appear for their scheduled bracket or do not check in on time will be recorded as a forfeit.

No-shows will:

• Forfeit all matches

• Receive no refund

Eligible refunds issued before April 12 will include tournament entry fees only ($45–$90 per bracket).

3️⃣ Tournament Format Adjustments

Charleston Rangers™ MoneyBall reserves the right to make necessary tournament adjustments in order to maintain event flow, player safety, and competitive integrity.

The Tournament Director may:

• Audit DUPR profiles and adjust placements for fair play

• Modify scoring formats

• Shorten match length

• Reduce the number of games

• Merge or condense brackets

• Adjust match schedules or start times

• Cancel specific divisions if necessary

If the tournament is modified or shortened, no refunds will be issued.

Every effort will always be made to complete as much tournament play as safely possible.

4️⃣ Player Substitutions

Player substitutions are permitted only before April 12, 2026.

Substitute players must meet the same DUPR rating category requirements as the original player.

After April 12:

❌ No substitutions

❌ No partner changes

❌ No team swaps

These restrictions prevent bracket disruption and protect the accuracy of DUPR-reported results.

5️⃣ Tournament Cancellation

In the rare circumstance that the entire tournament must be cancelled by Charleston Rangers™ due to facility closure, emergency, or uncontrollable circumstances:

Players will receive a partial refund, minus non-recoverable event costs already incurred.

This policy applies only if the entire event is cancelled.

It does not apply to:

• Event delays

• Format changes

• Schedule adjustments

• Shortened play due to weather or other conditions

6️⃣ No-Show Policy

Players who fail to appear for their scheduled bracket or do not check in on time will be recorded as a forfeit.

No-shows will:

• Forfeit all matches

• Receive no refund

By registering for the Charleston Rangers™ MoneyBall tournament, all players acknowledge and agree to the following policies:

🏥 Player Health Responsibility

By registering for Charleston Rangers™ MoneyBall, players acknowledge that pickleball is a physically demanding sport that involves risks including but not limited to:

• Slips or falls

• Muscle strains

• Dehydration or heat exhaustion

• Equipment-related injuries

All players participate at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of competing in tournament play.

Players who are injured or unable to safely continue play should notify tournament staff immediately.

💧 Hydration & Weather Awareness

This event takes place on outdoor courts, and players should prepare accordingly.

Players are strongly encouraged to:

• Stay properly hydrated

• Bring water, electrolyte drinks, and sun protection

• Take advantage of rest periods between matches

• Monitor personal health throughout the event

Tournament staff may adjust match schedules if weather conditions create safety concerns.

All paddles and equipment used during competition must comply with official approval standards.

All paddles will be inspected at check-in to verify they appear on either:

Equipment not meeting safety or approval standards will not be allowed in match play.

This protects both player safety and competitive fairness.

🚫 Alcohol & Conduct Policy

For safety and fairness, the following are not permitted at the tournament site:

• Alcohol consumption by players during competition

• Unsportsmanlike conduct

• Harassment of players, staff, or spectators

• Disruptive behavior affecting tournament operations

Players may be removed from the event if their conduct compromises safety or sportsmanship.

🩹 Medical Assistance

Basic first-aid supplies will be available at the tournament desk.

For serious injuries or medical emergencies, local emergency services will be contacted immediately.

Players should report injuries to tournament staff as soon as possible.
