On April 27 & 28, 2019, the Niagara Pickleball Association presents: the 3rd Smash for Cash Event! Taking place at the Ballhockey.com Haig Bowl Arena in St.Catharines, ON this unique event is offering cash prizes to the two finalists in each division! With $300 Cash for the Champions and $100 Cash for the Runners Up (based on a minimum of 6 teams per event), this is your chance to put your money where your mouth is at an exciting and competitive tournament!

$40CDN/Per Player Per Event (1 Event per Day)

This is a no frills event! We save the money on pointless goodie bags and frivolous expenses in order to give the most possible cash back to the players but still run an incredibly smooth and efficient event! Fruits & vegetables will be provided for players.

This tournaments features 6 skill based divisions - 3.5 Men's, Women's and Mixed & 4.0+ Men's, Women's and Mixed. Round robin format with a playoff game for the top four teams in each division (1st to 15) followed by the Division Final (best 2/3, to 11, win by 2). Men's & Women's will be played on Saturday and Mixed on Sunday.

Participants may only enter one event/category each day. Participants with a 3.5 rating or lower may participate in the 3.5 or 4.0+ categories. Participants with a 4.0 rating or higher must play in the 4.0+ categories. A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your partner must register within five (5) days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically be moved from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available. If a player requests a partner, the team will move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified and registers if there is an available slot to move to.

Partners will not be sought or assigned by the tournament, you will have to select your own partner. Players needing a partner will be shown on this website by event.

Only Division Finals will have referees and line judges.

The tournament directors reserve the right to combine brackets and change format depending on registration and time allotment on the day of the tournament.

Schedule: Event is designed as a full day tournament – games may start each day as early as 8:30 am and may finish as late as 7:00 pm based on participation numbers/draw format per each category – the official schedule to be released prior to tournament. Presentation ceremony for winners in each category will take place approximately 15 minutes after the completion of each category.

Practice: Practice time will be offered Friday night from 6-9pm at the Ballhockey.com Haig Bowl Arena - 17 Beech St., St.Catharines, ON, Canada.

Venue Info: There is seating in the arena but you may want to bring a cushion.

Locker rooms (no lockers) and showers (bring your own towels) on site.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made after registration closes (April 23 - 3PM) are non-refundable.

Exceptions to the Refund Policy:

Entry fees may be transferred to a replacement player at any time up through the morning of the event.
