Each event will have pool play qualifying round robins. The top 4 in each pool will move on to the Playoffs. 1st and 2nd will play for Gold/Silver. 3rd and 4th will play for Bronze.
(Friday’s Scrambles is an individual event, therefore there will be no playoffs. Final placement will be based on points earned in round robin play.)
PLEASE NOTE: This format is dependent on the number of registrations for each event / division. The playoff format will be determined closer to the tournament date
Placement for playoffs will be determined by;
- Win/Loss Record
- Points Differential - Points For / Points Against
- Total Points Scored
ALL GAMES will be played to 11, win by 2 (capped at 13)
Medals will be awarded at the venue immediately after the final matches have been played.
Officiating: Matches, when possible, will be refereed. Our goal is to have all medal games refereed. If you are willing to volunteer as a referee, please contact 002cdpt26@gmail.com.

IMPORTANT - On your player profile, make sure you have 'receive in game text messages' checked to 'YES' AND Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments. Please keep your phone close to you and be aware of getting a TEXT for your next matches and results. Failure to show up to the match will result in a default. Please arrive 30 mins prior to the start of your event.
Register individually but make sure your partner is ready to sign up as well. Your spot is not guaranteed in your event until both partners are registered and paid in full. If your partner does not sign up within 7 days of your registration, you will be placed on a waiting list. When the identified partner registers within 7 days, the team will move from the waitlist back to the active list ONLY if there is a slot available.
Spots are limited so register early! When the maximum per event is reached based on fully registered/paid teams, others will be added to the waitlist.
COMPLETE REGISTRATION means two things;
- your waiver has been agreed to and your registration is paid in full
- and your partner needs to be registered, paid in full, and their waiver signed
DUPR - Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating
CDPT 2026 is a DUPR rated tournament. All participants MUST have a DUPR account to participate. The tournament results for men’s, women’s and mixed doubles will be submitted to DUPR. The results for doubles scramble will not be submitted to DUPR.
Please create an account on DUPR, if you don't already have one by downloading the DUPR account or visiting the DUPR website and create an account. https://dashboard.dupr.com/signup
Your DUPR rating at the time of registration must be within the range of the division you choose. If you do not have a DUPR rating, then you can “self-rate” your skills as you set up your profile.
Refer to this YouTube video for the ASL description of how to “self-rate”.

DISCLAIMER
Ontario Deaf Pickleball recognizes that DUPR ratings are relatively new. If you have questions about your registration or would like the committee to review your request, please email us at 002cdpt26@gmail.com. Please note that one player on a team may be below the bracket rating, but at least one player must meet the rating for that level.
We understand your DUPR/PBR rating may fluctuate between now and the start of the tournament. Try your best to sign up for the most appropriate skill level.
What to do if your partner and yourself are in two different skill levels and/or two different age groups?
SKILL RATING: A skill level player can play in their own division or in divisions of higher ratings. For example; if there is a team of a 3.5 player and a 4.0 player - the 3.5 player must register with their partner at a 4.0 level. The 4.0 player cannot register with the 3.5 player at a lower division of 3.5 level.
AGE GROUP: A player can play in their age group or in the age group that is younger. For example; if there is a men’s team of a 36 year old player and a 57 year old player. The 57 year old player will need to register with their partner in the 35-54 age group. The 36 year old player cannot register in the 55+ age group.
PLEASE NOTE: The CDPT 2026 Tournament Committee reserves the right to place players in the Skill Group or Age Group as they see fit.
WAIT LIST
In the case of waitlists - teams will take priority over individuals.
If you’re waitlisted for all events, PBT will not charge you. If you’re waitlisted for some, you’ll pay for registration and for the events that you are in, except for the waitlisted events.
Once you are off the wait list, PBT will send you an email to notify you to pay for the event. You have seven days to pay for the event. Otherwise, you will go back to the waiting list. Make sure to pay attention to all emails from PBT and pay immediately when notified.
