Format for All Play: Round Robin -

Skill Levels

Beginner: 2.5

Intermediate: 3.0

Advanced: 3.5 and Above

Open Division: 4.0+

(Events also have age divisions, 49 and under/ 50+)

Note: brackets may be combined and times changed based on player entries.

Registration Fee $65.00, plus $20.00 per event.

(EARLY BIRD $10.00 DISCOUNT)- VALID THROUGH DECEMBER 31ST

NOTE: All Registration thru Pickleball Brackets.

This is an open tournament.

Registration is online only. For the Doubles Events registration is not complete until BOTH partners have registered, signed the online waiver, and PAID.

When the maximum per event is reached based on fully registered/paid teams, others will be added to the waitlist.

All players must complete their registration by 2/11/2025 @ 11.55pm or they could potentially be placed on the Waitlist.

For all Doubles events players may enter as a team or look under "Players Needing Partners" to find a partner. PLEASE NOTE: If a partner has not completed their registration within seven days of the first partner registering, the team will be automatically moved to the waitlist. When the identified partner registers after the five-day grace period, the team will automatically move from the waitlist back to the active list if there is a slot available.

In the case of waitlists, in doubles events - teams will take priority over individuals.

Age Divisions: Players may register for younger age division

COMPLETE registration means, the waiver is signed, the registration is paid in full and your partner needs to be registered, waiver signed and paid in full.

By entering this tournament you are agreeing to all rules and regulations including those stated in the waiver.

EVENTS:

**NEW** Men's / Women's Singles, THURSDAY, February 13th

Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles, Saturday Feb 15th

Mixed Doubles, Sunday Feb 16th

Each of the above will have different brackets based on skill level AND age (49 and under; 50 and above).

Beginner's Brackets (2.0) for Gender and Mixed will play Friday night Feb 16, if numbers dictate.

(Play MAY be moved to Start on Friday if numbers dictate.)

Tournament T-shirt's will be provided for players registered by and emailed their shirt size to JZRacketSports@gmail.com by Thursday February 1 @ 11:59pm.

Waiver: By registering you are agreeing, in consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in the Giving Thanks Pickleball Tournament, the following parties harmless, and you are attesting to the following:

I, for myself, my heirs or assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Pickleball Brackets, the City of Shreveport (and her parks), and JZ Racket Sports, LLC, the event directors, their officers, employees and agents from liability from any and all claims resulting in personal injuries, death, accidents, illnesses (such as communicable diseases including COVID-19), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in the Event.

Assumption of Risk. Participation in the Event carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary but include 1) minor injuries such as bruises, sprains and dehydration, 2) major injuries such as eye injuries, joint or back injuries, heat stroke, heart attacks, and concussions, and 3) catastrophic injuries such as paralysis and death. I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in playing pickleball. I assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks.

Indemnification and Hold Harmless. I also agree to indemnify and hold Pickleball Brackets, the City of Shreveport (and her parks), and JZ Racket Sports, LLC and all named above harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees brought as a result of my involvement in the Event.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RESCHEDULE IN THE EVENT OF ANY INCLIMATE WEATHER

Registrants withdrawing before Feb 5th@ 6pm will be refunded minus a $20.00 administration fee.

NO refunds after Feb 5th for player withdrawals.
