2024 Kamloops Open Pickleball Tournament
EVENTS:
Singles: 14-49, 50+, 60+
Doubles: 14-49, 50+, 65+
SKILL LEVELS:
3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0+
REGISTRATION:
Registration Fee: $70
Event Fee: $12 per event
Registration Opens: April 21, 2024
SKILL/AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Pickleball Canada's new policy for sanctioned tournaments allows lower level players to play up a level as long as their rating is not more than .5 lower, For example, two players with 3.5 rating may partner in a 4.0 event. Or a 3.5 player may partner with a 4.0 player in a 4.0 event.
Singles players can sign up for 0.5 higher than their CPTR rating.
Partners must play in the level of the younger persons age category. You can play down in age, but not up in age.
The tournament directors reserve the right to review, and possibly alter the rating/placement of a player.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Doubles: Double Elimination with re-entry to the championship bracket.
Medal matches: 2 out of 3 games to 11 points (win by 2)
Loser side: One game to 15 points (win by 2)
Round Robin format for smaller events.
Singles: Round Robin play and bronze medal match are one game to 11, win by 1. Gold/Silver match best of 3, win by 2.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Both players must register and pay the tournament fees within 48 hours to be considered complete.
Pickleball Canada Registration:
Must be a Pickleball Canada member through June 09, 2024, to participate.

REFEREES:
Our goal is to have all matches with a referee.
Referees can sign up on Pickleballdesk.com.
Additional Information:
The organizing committee reserves the right to cap registrants on any day if facilities/schedule reach capacity.
