Tournament Description
The Adelaide Mini 2024 is Pickleball South Australia's first Australian Rankings tournament.
The 2-day tournament is held 23-24 March 2024, comprising singles, gender doubles and mixed doubles for 3.5+ rating players only.
The tournament venue is outdoors at Blair Athol Racquet Sports Hub with 8 courts.
Registrations close on 9 March at midnight ACST. Players in brackets with fewer than 4 players/teams will be contacted and given the opportunity to move to alternative brackets - there will be no merging of brackets.
This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED tournament using the IFP Official Rules of Pickleball.
Only members of Pickleball SA, Pickleball Australia, or an affiliated club, may enter.
Here are some key details for your tournament entry.
- Entry Fee: $30 per player includes up to 3 events. Service fees apply to all registrations.
- Events will start with round robin games in groups (game to 11 win by 2) and move to elimination (game to 15 win by 2). Medal matches are best 2 out of three games to 11 win by 2.
- Age categories are Open, 35+, 50+ and 60+.
- Players of an older age can enter a lower age group event.
- There is one skill category for each event. This is 3.5+ rating. Tournament organisers may exclude lower ranked players at their discretion.
- Players are guaranteed three games in each event.
- First, second and third place will be awarded to competitors in each bracket.
- Australian Ranking Points will be awarded consistent with PAA's Australian Ranking Tournaments guideline January 2024.

The tournament directors reserve the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the tournament.
Additional Information
Before registering for this tournament:
1. You must have a current PAA membership through your state pickleball association such as Pickleball SA.
2. You must have a profile on PickleballBrackets.com.
The balls being used at the tournament are Franklin X-40 outdoor balls coloured yellow. Competitors are required to select clothing that is other than yellow in colour (according to the International Pickleball rules) so there is no confusion seeing the ball.
Refund Policy
Player requests for withdrawals will be accepted until 9 March at midnight for a full refund.
If any player is withdrawn from all events due to insufficient players in their chosen brackets, they will receive a full refund.
Otherwise, there will be no refunds provided unless in case of a health issue, with refund decisions at the discretion of the tournament organisers.
