One day Holiday Tournament for "the rest of us". (Seinfeld reference for those of you not familiar).
Only open to Armory Pickleball and Bellingham Pickleball Club members. (For everyone else, see our MLK Tournament, January 12 - 14, 2024.)
This is a local, fun mixed doubles tournament to get our blood flowing so that we can thrive for December holidays. Format will be a waterfall, ensuring at least four games per team and a playoff for the top four teams.
We will start around 8:00 AM on Saturday, December 9. We previously announced that everyone who registered will get a chance to play. Unfortunately, that SHOULD have said everyone who is registered before the event fills up will get a chance to play at least 4 games to 15, win by 2 with rally scoring. We will have events for 3.00-3.49 and under, 3.50-3.74 and under, and 3.75+.
Players may register as teams or if registering as an individual, you will be matched with an appropriate partner. There will be no medals, but maybe something fun if you win. But mostly it's about the delight in playing pickleball!
Holiday attire STRONGLY encouraged! We will have a Festivus pole for fun.
Expected start times on Saturday:
8:00 or 8:30 AM 3.00-3.49 and under, all ages
12:00 PM 3.75 and above, all ages
3:00 PM 3.50-3.74 and under, all ages
The schedule will be adjusted to accommodate those who are registered first.
Cost: Registration for members only (Armory Pickleball and/or Bellingham Pickleball Club)
$20 ($5 goes to PB.com)
Registration closes Tuesday, December 5, 12:15 AM (just after midnight of Monday, December 4).
NOTE: This tournament is PURELY for FUN! We previously announced that we will be reporting scores to DUPR. No scores will be reported outside of the pickleballbrackets.com platform.
