RAFFLES
We have two raffles:
Grand Prize Raffle - an amazing 3-night midweek stay at a luxury house in Mudgee for you and your friends, valued at $5,500. All registered players receive one entry per event into this prize. The Grand Prize Raffle details will be available via The Pickle Society social media pages/website. Additional Raffle tickets will be available to purchase from 1-30 April. Prize will be drawn on 1st May by The Pickle Society.
General Raffle - on the day, we will be selling tickets to the general raffle with amazing prizes - dinner vouchers, fuel vouchers, wellness packs, and more. We will be adding more prizes in the coming days, so if you would like to contribute, please get in touch and check out our Facebook page for details of the prizes.
BBQ
Friends of Bruno will be running a BBQ throughout the event. All registered participants will receive a Sauso voucher... but don't let that stop you buying more :) It is a fundraiser after all.
CHAIRS and SPECTATORS
Please bring a camp chair to sit on, and please encourage friends and family to come along. This is a fun and festive event for a good cause. There will be plenty of activity on and off the courts to keep you entertained.
PARKING
There is street parking available at the courts.
REGISTRATION
- To register, you will need to create a free Pickleball Brackets login and profile. Your profile must contain your contact number, and email.
- Registration Opens: April 1 at 8am
- Registration Closes: Friday April 10 at 6pm or earlier if capacity is reached.
FEES
- The registration fee is $100 (GST inc). The fee covers registration plus one event. There is a $20 fee for each additional event.
EVENTS
All events will play a round-robin, with top performers advancing to single-elimination pre-medal & medal matches.
- Qualifying games will be a round robin format, and finals will be elimination. Pool games scoring will be either to 15 or 11, win by 2. If necessary, some matches will be scored to 21, win by 2.
- Medal matches will be best out of three games to 11, win by 2.
- Players are guaranteed a minimum of three games in each event.
- Love Pickle Club has kindly donated Franklin X-40 Outdoor Balls for the event, in yellow (please try to avoid wearing yellow).
- Medals will be awarded to Gold, Silver and Bronze for each bracket.
PLEASE NOTE:
- All events currently have a maximum number of teams, but we may adjust the team numbers based on demand. Please join the waitlist if your chosen event is full.
- Registrations may have to close early due to demand.
- When registrations are closed, any event with insufficient numbers for a competition may be collapsed and merged with another event. Competitors in the collapsed event will be notified.
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to cancel or modify the events and/or schedule as needed, pending influences beyond our control.
DELAYS
- If you are unavoidably delayed and it appears that you will not arrive in time for your game/match, please contact the Tournament Director via “Contact Tournament” on the registration page. In some circumstances, we may be able to adjust the schedule and consider other options.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late for your game, your game may be forfeited.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION
The Tournament Director reserves the right to:
- Review and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual ability.
- Move players and teams between skill level brackets if, on verification, the wrong event has been entered.
- Merge or split brackets based on event registration. Any event with fewer than 4 entries may be combined with another event of the closest possible standard.
- Change start times to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed, pending influences beyond our control.
